With food prices soaring and people careful with disposable cash; Chip Stop makes a great choice.
Prices and portions are fantastic. For doner meat and chips (it comes as a set price £6:00) it came as a large! Other chippies with the same price or more are less generous with meat portions.
The menu is short and easy to choose from; only cooking food that sells well and fresh to order.
As soon as you enter, you feel that it’s family run and staff very welcoming.
If fast food is what you want or expect (food quickly cooked or food left on the heater for ages); then this place isn’t one of them.
You will have to wait for 5-10mins as it’s always busy and busy with orders.
Walk ins are still available and the lady who serves you is very knowledgeable and friendly. She will tell you straight away how long it will take. Food is constantly being cooked fresh.
I always judge places by have many customers are there.
There is ample spaces for parking, you will find cars parked and waiting with customers waiting patiently inside.
Is the waiting worth it?

The new staff are the most miserable, ignorant employees.

We went there this afternoon 12.30 and had the best fish n chips EVER lovely chips lovely fresh fish. I live in kings heath and this will now be our chippy. Good prices. Highly recommended 😊
The fish is longer than your plate and as it is cooked fresh when ordering, it is a fantastic, tasty fish. Cheaper than the dolphin fish bar and bigger portions than the Shirley Road chip shop. We have only been using this chip stop for about 6 months but it is the best one round here. Yes, you may have to wait but I prefer freshly cooked food rather than already cooked food stored under the hotplate.
I personally think this is the best chip shop you will find. Always freshly cooked, excellent service from all the staff. Give it a try and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed, John.
This one of the best chip shops in Birmingham!:It is a must. The service is second to none your greater with a smile & nothing is to much! For value for money & tastest that will be unbeatable. Doubt me just pop in a choice you'll never regret! But please keep it our little secret!

Chips are served freshly cooked with good portion sizes. No vegan options & the pasties are not recommended.
I still believe to be one of the best fish and chip shops in the area. The staff are really friendly. You can order and collect or just turn up and order.
Foods great but don’t go here if your hungry or in a rush, it takes over 20 minutes to get your food and are rude when you ask long until it’s ready

This is the best chip shop in the world! The food tastes like magic and the service makes you feel like you’re in Tattu, if you have not visited this place then I’m afraid you do not know what real chips taste like!
