Esme's - Birmingham - Photo album

Nice Caribbean takeaway or eat in. Friendly West Indian lady serving. I've just had a Vegetable Fritter which was very tasty, nice & spicy, good size & bargain at just £1.
It's now called Good to go. We've had take out a few times and it's really good. The stew chicken and oxtail are tasty. The jerk chicken has a nice bbq flavour. However I found the sauce not as good as some places, so I get the chicken alone.
We just had Esme's Eats for the first time and it was so tasty! I ordered the vegan curry and rice, two dumplings, plaintain and chips for me and my daughter and it was plenty for both of us with leftovers too. Will definitely order from here again.
I was passing by the store at lunchtime and dropped in to check it out. I ordered the mutton curry and a portion of Jerk Chicken. The food was ready with 5 minutes or so. I'm glad I took it home because I was in a mess after the Jerk Chicken- it was lovely and I was comfortable scoffing away like a
At the bottom end of Kings Court, a quiet ally off Kings Heath high street, you can find Esme's eats. I love their brown stew chicken, ackee and salt fish and sweet potato fries. The chicken is tender and marinated with just the right amount of seasoning and the ackee and salt fish is delicious. Now
Brought some takeout from esme today, chicken curry and rice and boiled veg was very tasty. Only criticism was the jerk chicken not very Nice, tasted burnt and extremely salty and dry throughout. Other than that great service, friendly staff and other food was very nice
Eaten here several times over the years and always had great food and service so I find it strange to see the one star reviews. Sounds to me like competitors or people who might have some other gripe. In any case I'm a very happy customer and would particularly recommend the hake!
Ive tried many local places that sell Caribbean/Jamaican food and Ive got to say nothing beats Esmes Eats. The food was fresh, tasty & flavour some. An amazing place with friendly staff. One of my fav eateries in Kings Heath
Delicious and authentic. Good portions. Super friendly staff. Restaurant is quietly located aback the street to better enjoy the good selection of jamaican reggae and enjoy a drink while waiting for the food.
Really nice food, lovely homely atmosphere and friendly service - such a hidden gem in Kings Heath. Strongly recommend to anyone as the menu is great and prices are a lot more affordable than other places in the area.
First time ordering and was apprehensive about what the food would be like as I always tend to have poor food from caribbean takeaways. I enjoyed the food as did my wife so I would recommend trying their food happy customer.
Service so slow, which is why knocked a star off, but food generally good... They do microwave it to warm it up for a takeaway, we asked them to just pack it up and we'd heat it up ourselves at home to save time.
