Best meal out I’ve had in ages!! I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the peanut butter marmite cauliflower wings since we visited. The place had a really nice neighbourhood vibe :-) The only criticism was that the draught lager wasn’t as cold as you’d want it.

We visited as a group of 5 and tried a mix of everything on the menu. The food was great; fragrant and flavourful curry, crispy chilli potatoes, sticky peanut chicken wings, and tasty crispy cauliflower (I don't even like cauliflower but these were great). They also serve locally produced craft beer and ice-cream. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. A great little gem; I would guess it gets busy at peak times but we went on a week night so it wasn't too packed. If you're driving, there's parking available on the residential side roads close by.

Just had an amazing experience at Eat Vietnam. The food was incredible, highlights being the crispy pork belly, chicken wings, and salt and pepper aubergine. Even the rice and noodles were perfectly cooked. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and the service was fast. Can’t fault anything, and even the beers were local. Can’t wait to go back and would recommend here to everyone.

Incredible food. Brilliant flavours. Super sharp organised service. Honestly so many brilliant dishes. The wings, as another reviewer recommended, are brilliant. The courgette special was our standout dish. So many flavours. What a place. We will return. Even the ice cream is triple A first class special. Might this get a Star?! It would be fully justified

I've been trying to come here for years and it was so worth the wait. I'm annoyed that we wasted months when we could have come and had really lovely, fresh, tasty food. Staff were really attentive and double checked our allergies/intolerances, which most places do not We didn't fully know what to order, mainly because I would have eaten everything, so we started with a vibrant, spicy and fresh salad. The pork belly with chilli oil was honestly the best pork belly we've ever tried - highly recommend! I tried the curry and my partner had the noodles and we'd absolutely have it all again Because of the large choice of specials, we'd probably try multiple dishes next time and enjoy sharing the dishes between us. Really loved the whole meal and I'm already asking to come back soon! Sorry for the poor photos, I was too desperate to try the food 🤤

Always a great meal here. Delicious authentic Vietnamese food and brilliant service in a cosy neighbourhood restaurant. The standard menu is great and there’s always something interesting and new on the specials board. It can get really busy so booking ahead is recommended, especially on the weekend. Great place to combine with a trip to some of the other bars and craft beer places in Stirchley.

Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had. We ordered exclusively from the specials board which I’d really recommend doing. We tried chilli oil potatoes, pork belly, scallops, salt and pepper aubergine and a pulled pork roll. All were delicious but the stars for me with the pork belly and scallops.

We ordered exclusively from the specials board and it was all absolutely delicious. My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed every plate we had, but our stand outs were the chilli oil potatoes and the roast pork belly. We also had the salt & chilli aubergine, pork and pickle bun and scallops. I can't stop thinking about this food and I am already trying to plan when I can return. Service was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the decor and vibe of the place. It's very small, so booking ahead is recommended

The food was absolutely incredible! We had the marmite and peanut butter cauliflower (mind-blowingly good), the aubergine (umami cruelty-free goodness) and I had a tofu noodle bowl (delicious)! I was very impressed with these vegan offerings and would recommend to any vegan looking for a taste of Vietnam in Birmingham. My only critique is that the meals are a bit pricey and I think they could be made slightly more affordable. Other than that, amazing experience!

Fantastic food served in a gorgeous intimate space. We ordered the scallops and BBQ chicken from the small plates and the curry and noodle dishes; all were absolutely delicious! Great drinks menu serving local beers. All topped off with friendly and attentive staff.

So glad that this place is in Stirchley. What a brilliant restaurant. Doesn't seat a huge amount so certainly worth booking a day or two in advance. Went on a Wednesday and they had to turn people away such was the popularity. All of the dishes were stunning, so it's hard to recommend one in particular. We will be back!

Probably should have shared before we started eating... peanut butter and marmite cauliflower bites are a must. But everything on the menu is 🔥

Bahn mi, this is good If Eat Vietnam is a key ingredient to creating Stirchley’s bohemian, retro, vibe. From the outside, you could dismiss this comfortable restaurant as an old sweat shop. Look a little closer, the shop front is a work of retro art. Even though it’s an independent, it has it’s own tag line “fish sauce is not for everyone”. Enter and the behold the cool advertisements. Staff attended to me, given my sheepish, lost demeanour. I was taken to browse the extensive specials blackboard. The staff member walked me through the board of exciting dishes. Such is the range, it can be overwhelming. In many ways, I love. I ordered the mala cauliflower, hispi cabbage and Salt & Pepper Turmeric Fried Fish Noodles. Each dish was so fresh, light and vibrant. The mala cauliflower had bite & crunch. The light curry sauce complemented the dish sensationally. I felt well looked after by the staff. All meals were served expediently. Even the chefs popped over to serve the food. I highly recommend Eat Vietnam. An exciting western take on eastern cuisine.

We ordered a range of sharing plates and it’s the way forward- go with a group and order the whole menu, you won’t regret it. Everything we tried was amazing. In particular, the pork belly and marmite and peanut butter chicken wings but everyone on the table had a different favourite dish because it’s all just so good.

First time experience and we weren’t disappointed. We had a takeaway, and the food was very very very tasty! Truly delicious scrumptious, plate licking food. That’s the one good about eating at home 😋. Very pleasant atmosphere, can’t wait to eat in next time. We had the special short ribs, cabbage salad vegan , and roasted aubergine. All flavours unique, and refreshing. Well done! People may think the prices are a touch high, but the dishes were not disappointing..... I always pay a little bit more for good honest food.

We went in not expecting to find many gluten free options but to our amazement most of the menu either has a gluten free option or can be made gluten free. My partner is also allergic to peanuts and these could be left out without issues and without compromising on flavour. We had the salt and pepper aubergine to start with and we devoured it that quickly I didn't even take a photo of it! But the melt-in-the-mouth middle is perfectly counterbalanced by the thin crispy batter. We then had chicken curry and pork noodles for our mains and we were absolutely stuffed. We finished off our meal with a delicious condensed milk coffee which leaves you feeling like you've just had a light dessert. The restaurant itself is modern, with a lovely atmosphere. It's kept very clean (no sticky tables in here) and the staff are very attentive and warm.

The pork curry was alright, nothing special. Portion size was fair, but the prices were a bit steep for what you get. The coffee had an authentic presentation, but the flavor was a bit lacking. Overall, it was a decent experience, but not sure if I'd rush back anytime soon.

An absolute great gem of a place, the venue is cute and cosy. The food is consistently delicious and the staff are all helpful and offer a good service. The bonus ....you can park outside if you're lucky enough to get a spot !
