Food was good, staff were nice. Fast service. I gave 4 stars because the tables were a bit sticky.

I use this pear tree.Daily because the drinks are cheaper. The food including soft/alcoholic drinks are realley good value for money.and the staff are very pleasent.and it caters for children's meals and the toilet's M/F are allways clean and tidy. And they have a DISABLED TOILET. Which is always clean tidy

I popped into the Pear Tree pub, on the Alcester Road, Kings Heath, Birmingham, a few days ago for a drink and some lunch. I must say, it is quite sad in a way, that this place will be closing down fairly soon. For the past twenty years or so, this pub has served the community well. Although, not a regular patron myself, I have always found it to be bustling and lively whenever I have gone in. When I went in for lunch the other day, I had the vegan Mangalorean roasted cauliflower and spinach curry with a garlic nan bread and two poppadoms. With a pint of Guinness as well, this came to just £8.80. Good value for money. The food was excellent, and the customer service provided was second to none. Full marks to the young guy who served me at the bar, and also to the guy who brought my food to my table. They are very efficient and professional. Great shame this pub will soon be gone, but I suppose nothing stays the same for ever.

Lovely 😍food and You don't have to wait long the curries are takeaway quality but reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and You can have the crack with them and chat. The customer's are friendly and the atmosphere is very chilled and the Pub is spacious. Highly recommended

The horrible smell has gone from by the bar so decided 4 was an appropriate score now, where else can you sit in comfort by an open fire drinking refill coffee so cheaply in Kings Heath? No where! Good value and usually fairly busy.

This is a Wetherpoons pub situated on Kings Heath High Street. It has the lot....decent food, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages including tea and coffee. ..The bottomless trend....you pay one fee of £1.05 and help yourself to as many as you like. Traditional and friendly atmosphere. The staff are great too. We'll worth it.

Typical Wetherspoons pub. Dark inside but good atmosphere. Reasonable prices, good pub grub, from curries, to fish & chips, and has theme days, eg, curry night, grill night, also they've started to serve pizza. There are toilets upstairs, and a family area at the back of the pub. Only criticism; there's no beer garden. Would recommend though.

Left to eat at our own pace. Children were welcome, with good menu & activity sheets. My 4 yr old slipped out of our sight & staff were extremely helpful. She was found (in the loo!!) quickly. Childrens art gallery needs a careful eye kept on it as some weirdo thought it funny to add a hand-drawn willy to the kids work. Over all staff were pleasant food was good

We were really impressed..lovely atmosphere and staff. The main thing though was my wife left her bag behind with all her cards and her purse and phone on a very busy Saturday night....and 2 hours later we found it had been handed in and looked after by the manageress who was very sympathetic. Thank you.

Wetherspoons pub in great old building. Fast & efficient service as expected. Good selection of ales considering shortages elsewhere. Food (Buttermilk chicken burger) as tasty as usual. Can get busy on weekends.

Pear Tree, Kings Heath. Lunchtime drink treat for mom. Was very clean and staff were lovely. People at next table had a meal which did look nice and they seemed to enjoy it. Quite a few regulars appeared to be in there. Not sure what it is like in the evening but was very pleasant on a Friday lunchtime
