***VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*** It is very rare I give 5 stars for everything, but Alamgir is well deserving of the 5 star šŸŒŸ rating. Their mix grill platter is lovely food on point, lamb chops, chicken tikka, fish there is nothing bad to say about them on all 4 occasions I have been here. The main roghni nan with lamb and chicken karahi is absolutely amazing. I have tasted the majority of the curry's available to see if anything was not up to point on many different occasions, and I can happily say I have never had a bad dish here. Desserts the ras malai amazing. The service was excellent. They took average time, but for their quality in food, I would not mind waiting longer. Nouman and Mustafa both are excellent hosts. Thank you for always giving us an amazing evening.

Went with my parents for a desi breakfast, and it didnā€™t disappoint. We ordered x3 halwa puri (channa, halwa, x3puri, achaar) at Ā£5.95 each which I thought was very well priced. We also order an aloo paratha. This tasted just as it should. It didnā€™t come with anything so I asked for yoghurt, which they provided. Finished the meal off with 3 desi chaiā€™s. Mum and dad really enjoyed their tea. I did find the milk a bit too strong like buffalo milk or similar but that was just a personal preference so no points deducted for this. Service was great.

Nice food, looks good on the inside (decor) though staff was a bit rude when I went in to ask for a table for 3. They asked me where the other 2 are and when I told them they are on the way and will be there in a few min he didn't really like it but luckily still gave me a table. It was far from being full so I guess he had no reason not to give me a table. Overall, I would still recommend the place

It was our first time here. The restaurant is cosy with modern decor. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly. The Barbecue starters were cooked to a great taste. We ordered a stake for the kids who liked it. The chicken pasta was a little spicy for our daughter. Nihari and Haleem were excellent. The roti was disappointing, dry, and hard. better stick with naans. Overall, it was a good experience dining here. We were informed that they have dedicated parking at the rear. Please beware that there was a queue waiting for a table at busy times.

The restaurant is situated near the corner of Ladypool road, with a car park opposite and more spaces round the back. The front is modern and well lit and the decor inside is modern and very appealing. The furniture in the seating area is of high quality and cutlery is also of good standard. The staff were very accommodating for one of our guests who was in a wheelchair and helped to set up the table to accommodate his needs. To be honest the first time I visited my expectations in terms of the food quality and flavours was not too high. I've been to many restaurants in Birmingham and very few were a pleasant experience. So I kept my expectations low so as not to become disappointed. To my surprise every dish we ordered came out fresh, flavoursome and superb quality. We tried the lamb chops, malai boti, reshmi kebab and samosa chaat as starters. Each one was exceptional in texture and flavour. We then ordered Gawal mandi chicken karahi, egg fried rice, Lamb karahi on the bone, roghni naan, tandoori naan and rotis. All the food was served hot and freshly cooked. Nothing tasted funny or pre cooked. I have now been back to this place 5 times and on each occasion the food has been exceptional. Brother Mustafa and Noman are excellent hosts, always polite and courteous. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to taste authentic food and flavours. Your never gona get perfection in local restaurants but these guys are excellent in most departments. Thank you guys for a pleasant and memorable dining experience each time. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

I visited on a weekend. We were seated quite quickly as it was early evening. We were a family of four and a 3 year old. We decided on getting a bunch of starters- lamb chops, chicken tikka, malai boti, sheesh kebabs and poppadoms and fries (we wanted this all together) For mains we went for roti, naan, lamb karahi and biryani of the day which was chicken biryani. We went for strawberry mocktail and blue lagoon mocktail. With food and drink I cannot fault a single thing it was all very delicious. Just the chicken in the biryani I felt to be alittle dry. In terms of service staff were super friendly and attentive given how busy it was. Just was disappointed to see only two glasses on the table for tap water- and had to ask for two more. Also we wanted fries with our starters but we had to ask and ended up having it with mains. Also when we finished and I was taking final sips of my mocktail we were asked if would get up by what seemed the manager because they had feel waiting - which I totally understand but I feel a couple of minutes would be nice and also I would suggest showing other customers waiting the menu so they can decide before seating (will make it more time effective). I don't like to be rushed out of a restaurant, especially when you've spent a fair amount. Saying that the price was very reasonable- Ā£105 for us all. Also I made a video of most of the food hence not many pictures Also didn't feel very comfortable with the shared toilet space with men and women. Even though there was a men and women toilet separate (cubicles next to each other) the sinks were the same- this is for upstairs sitting.

We ordered chicken butter handi, mixed grill, keema nan, chicken biryani, and rogni nans. Overall food was nice as you expected, staff was helpful... especially their manager. It was quite busy during weekdays. People were queuing for at least 30 minutes or so. There was a small car park on the road.

Ladies night out a great night. Saw the reviews and lots of people were having a moan about late food and service? Even with the bad reviews we gave it a chance. And to our amazement great service and the food was lovely. I will recommend you try this place out.

Overall enjoyed the food, everything was good and tasty, only the portion of Maghaz was too small hardly one person can eat and the high price too considering the portion and tea could be better. Prices bit high.

We went for a late lunch and the place was bustling which is always a great sign. The lanb karahi on the bone was the best we have tasted. It was real lamb and fluffy soft. No overpowering tomato paste like other places. Can not wait to test the rest of the menu in future. Medium was spicy enough for us.

Excellent and above my expectations especially when the place is fairly new. I must say that Laxmi chowk lamb karahi stood out. The best I have had so far in Birmingham in years. Grill platter for two has good portions. My favourites on this platter were lamb seekh kebab and lamb chops. While you wait for the yummy food being cooked treat yourself with poppadoms. This was promising as we patiently waited for the mains. We also ordered their best selling chicken. Biryani. This was also very good slightly spicy which balances well with yoghurt raita. We could not resist and also ordered their cooling mojitos and again this compliments their spicy and delicious food. The place was packed and there were queues of hungry food lovers inside the waiting area and outside. Hats off to the staff especially Noman (manager) and Tanya who visited our table regularly to ensure we had a great dinner time. The ambiance and decor speak for itselfšŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ Go see it yourself.
