A legend in terms of kebabs and tikka!!!!
For those who are not from an Asian background allow me to explain briefly
Why would I go out to eat a curry when I can eat something far more authentic at home.
Back I the old days (when I were a wee lad the treat was to eat outside the kind of food that's hard to make at home hence why our favourite was shahi naan whee we went to eat the kebabs and plenty of them!!!
As good as ever the spice mixture in the kebab is spot on and their chilli sauce is some kind of industrial secret that no one knows about but it's very very good!!!!!
Always good and hardly ever disappoints !
I always go for the kebabs but their meat or chicken Baltis are also very good!!!!
I worked away from Birmingham for many years and every time I visited I would come here to get my fix!!
A true legend in the Pakistani/asian restaurant world of Birmingham!
The window display suggests the best kebabs in town but are they actually the best kebabs in town? Read on to find out what this layperson thinks!
Having dropped my party off outside, I headed off to find adequate parking on a Saturday evening. I gave up hope looking for street parking so reluctantly parked my car at a pay and display car park about 5 mins away. The walk on the way back is good if you have over eaten like I did so it could be a plus point!
Anyways we ordered our food with specific instructions however as this being a one waiter joint, those instructions were not followed by the 3 men in the kitchen who must have been occupied perfecting the kebabs.
When the kebabs arrived, they were fresh and looked appetising. Resting on a fluffy naan, I poured some sauces to the side and tore off a piece of naan along with a kebab. Taking a bite, I was quite surprised at how good these kebabs tasted. It’s not common to find a place to serve up good naans but Shahi Naan did their best which was good enough.
I was glad I ordered the large which comes with 3 kebabs as opposed to the miserly small portion of 2.
If you couldn’t see or hear the rain outside, you could convince yourself you were sitting in a restaurant in the heart of Pakistan with the interior to match any place in our homeland.
After indulging myself, I was tempted to order another one but my head outfought my stomach this time so I did not bother. The waiter was apologetic at the end that the specific instructions were not followed but with the Britishness in me, I was the one who apologised to him for giving him such difficult or any instructions at all.
All in all, I would say it is hard to argue against their motto of being the best kebabs in town. Therefore you can safely put the phone down to Trading Regulations as there is no doubt.
I had mutton tikka and sheek kebab in nan bread kebab and mutton tikka was nice juices can't fault it salad was fresh nan it self was wasn't great bread too hard some part of bread eating area okay busy places to eat high recommend the kebab best in sparkhill and sparkbrook area
Tastier and affordable food. Kebab roll is one of the great taste option. Also good vibe. Disappointed with Egg fried rice. Fried rice is too plain, egg is not even properly mix to the rice.
The food here is DIVINE! Me and my grandfather regularly go visit this place. My personal favourite which they do best is seekh kebabs. The mint sauce is homemade and a cool refreshing sauce to your spicy sensations. The staff are extremely helpful and patient.
Delicious food. Keema naan, masala fish and seekh kebabs Highly recommended
I remember this place since my childhood days and till this date, the level of care, food and service is superb.
The staff are friendly, the food is appetizing and mouth watering and the atmosphere is always splendid and spectacular.
This truly is a great place to go to, regardless of whether you're with friends or with family, the experience is always wonderful.
Came in here after shopping, we were all starving, food took ages but in their defence it was really busy. I would try it again when it’s less busy. I think the kebabs were the best part, wouldn’t get the curry again, there wasn’t much in it and most of it was bones. Will try again for the kebabs and the mint sauce!
Wonderful customer service and wonderful food. Have to say the best thing about their sheekh kebab is the seasoning but also the fact they cook it just right. So many other places overcook their kebabs, they don’t here. Will come back soon.
Shish kebabs and masala fish were delicious and there chilli sauce is amazing if you want to eat spicy kebabs this is the place
Tried the large seekh kebab for our first visit here. We were not disappointed! The kebab was tasty, salad and sauce good. Price was reasonable. Atmosphere could be better for a Friday night. Definitely worth trying the kebab. You could get parking in one of the side streets.
Good food . Very brilliant service. Had a problem with my order . Told the young man with a beard. I sure he is the owner . Replaced my item straight away then further apologised for the mistake. Even though it wasnt his fault. Great guy great service definitely recommend this place.
Best kebabs bar none!
Currys aren't the best, but who's are in Birmingham?
