Visited the Ruin this weekend. Everything was excellent. It has unique decor, great staff and very tasty, yet good value food. Highly recommend, go there if you’re in the Digbeth area.

Cool little pub at the back of custard factory, not far from digbrew. I would recommend as a stop off or stay in place for a night out. Plenty to do around Digbeth now.

A super boxfresh addition to Digbeth's daytime and nightlife offering, situated just off Deritend High Street next to the brand new British and Irish Modern Music Institute. The Ruin is a cosy hideout, littered with visual curios across three rooms and a sprawling courtyard, complete with plenty of unique art, dope playlists and a wide range of beers including local ales, speciality roasted coffee and cocktails. A rolling roster of DJs and promoters and a forthcoming food offer = a great intimate venue to start, spend or finish your day, as well as for private bookings, parties and celebrations. Fully welcoming staff and a real warm vibe. Much recommended 💯

Great beers, not too crowded, still a hidden gem so great to bring your friends and still be able to talk to them whilst listening to a vast selection of decent music. Seriously get here before everyone else starts making it their local.

Went in on Saturday lunch and had a nice couple of hours in the Ruin. Cracking new edition to a great part of town. i'll be back for more that is for sure. Hoping to see some classic Photos of the European Cup Winning Feyenoord Side of 1970 on my next visit. Good Luck Rich

Came to the ruin without knowing what the place was, without a recommendation and only because the outdoor venue we planned to visit was called off due to the rain… SO glad that happened! Great atmosphere, great staff, extremely individual and the pop up food kitchen had the BEST beef tacos going and deserve a Permanent spot of their own! Music already on at midday with DJ’s through the Saturday!

This pub is a little gem in back street Digbeth. It's both quirky and cosy. Modern and traditional. You could take your coolest mates or your mum. I have been going on and off for several years. My dad used to drink here in the 50s and 60s. The staff are friendly, there is a good choice of local craft beers and a couple of ales. Prices are around average for central Birmingham, the food looks good and there were a few people eating. We found a cosy corner in the bar, it was busy but not loud. There is a covered yard and a roof top seating area as well. All in all, a great pub.

my first time going out by myself as a woman (22y) in Birmingham and it's really a great place, I'm really happy with my choice of going here as my first place alone. it's safe, comfortable, fun, amazing kind staff, bartender was lovely. I suffer from social anxiety so it's hard for me to go out and enjoy my time somewhere out and The Ruin was perfect. I was up in the smoking area and it's really chill, good atmosphere and great! I'm not used to going out to drink but I had a Moscow Mule for 8 quid and for the amount of the drink and everything included I say it's a fair price but I'm not familiar with drink prices so I can't say confidently it's the best price out there but definitely worth it 👌👌 Thank you for a good first experience c:

We visited this pub as part of the "Digbeth Pub Tour". Lovely venue and we ended clambering up to the roof top garden seating area for tasty beers with great views. One to visit. 👌🏻

Wow. Just an all round fantastic bar and venue. Incredibly lovely staff at the bar and in the kitchen, GREAT set of very different spaces, each of them fun, and other patrons who were just great. Could not recommend this place enough. The perfect modern Birmingham Pub!

What a lovely place, inside and outside. Excellent and friendly service. I love the 'electronics' wall dressings.

A very interesting venue, the decor is vintage mixed with retro. Which I personally loved. The service was excellent, all the staff were friendly. The building had a lot of different areas; multiple smoking areas including in and outdoor with a roof balcony seating area. They have awesome artwork on the walls outside. I imagine this venue would be completely different in the afternoon to the nightime. The food was nice, some items nicer than others but overall was a good experience. Could of been better on the food but overall was a lovely time and we were catered to very well.
