We ordered a platter of rice chicken and kebabs.
it was delicious. ordered on a few occassions never disappointed.
The service is always nice cannot fault them. i must try...
The quality and quantity of the food for the price they charge can't be argued against. It's one of my favourite places to eat in Birmingham.
tasty food, been multiple times and the staff are really nice and ensure you have a great time enjoying your food, i would like it if they could put in more comfortable chairs and tables
love Momo's been number one family day out food place since my childhood. although the ladies part is not the best the stff are really friendly and welcoming!
My first visit. Prompt service. Ordered a meal for 2. Nice tasty food, then ordered 3 wraps which the family liked. Tables and chairs are old and tacky but food is nice. Would go again.
I purchased roast chicken, rice with veg sauce, shish style kebab and hummus. The service is fairly quick and you can take out / or eat in if you wish. There is upstairs seating, usually used by families, as well as tables down stairs. The food is mildly flavoured and the prices are fairly reasonable. You will get a complementary jug of water if you request it. Ideal if you want a quick sit down hot meal.
Food is served in big portions. For the price you pay its worth it. Its the type of place you come to for a quick but satisfying bite to eat. The decor is not very good but the food makes up for that downside. If the decor is really a shock to your system just ask for a takeaway and the friendly staff will be more than happy to help.
Now firstly I have been a fan of momos since it opened because it's honest about what it's trying to be.
It doesn't claim to be a high end eatery
Nor does it want to be, here it's about feeding the masses plenty of what they desire good quality basic staples like roast chicken, kofta kebabs, Arab style curries normally 3 differing varieties a day, qouzi (lamb chunks cooked in a broth)
Momos has always been incredible value for what you pay i remember paying £4 for half chicken with rice or pasta and it fills you up for half a day too!!!
Help yourself to water and to soup, you may even have to help yourself to a cloth to clean the table as the turnover of people eating in this place is crazy that staff simply can't keep on top of it!!
It's mental but I guess that half the charm, i do understand that it's to everyone's tAste can be very chaotic at times but the food is always spot on.
One gripe i do have and I agree with the previous reviewer the soup is just a. Stock cube swirled in water !,, hence why I avoid it also if you have the shawarma they cut it off the main rotisserie and then proceed to cook it on a hit plate and seem to dunk loads of soy sauce all over it! Yes soy sauce that famous well known middle eastern ingredient!!!!! But I just ask them yo not cook on hot plate and to never ever think about putting any soy sauce near my shawarma,,,!,,,
Eclectic but always on point I do like a MoMos now n then!!!
Considering it was early on a Friday night, we were seated instantly and I ordered almost instantly. I ordered a platter for 4. The food arrived exceptionally fast but I was slightly disappointed with the quantity. It looked inviting so we got tucked in. All the food tasted spot on (although I found the rice a tad salty). The chicken shawarma went perfectly with the rice and so did the rest of the meal. I had to order an extra pasta and some fries and all in all it was a tasty and satisfying meal.
The food sheikh says: I highly recommend you visit the establishment!
Momo’s -Small Heath, Birmingham.
Been going to this place for years, not have visited recently so thought I’d call in whilst in the area, food is still supper delicious, although prices have gone up substantially since I last visited … sum years ago!
Food is super good though, credit to the area.
No place to park though.
Great little spot to grab an awesome shawarma. Staff are great and upbeat, and you can not fault the food or prices. Highly recommend 👌
Visited there on the other day. Friend wanted to have taste from Mediterranean and middle eastern cuisine. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Was busy times as you need to wait in line for a while to place your order. We ordered platter for two which includes Rice, Pasta, Veg Curry, ½ Chicken, Portion of LambQuzi & Chicken Shawarma served with Salad. lambQuzi was a bit dry but others are fine. They have also soup you can have help yourself with soup while waiting for your order. We tried lentils soup which is very nice to have it before the meal.
They have also free spices black tea( mint cinnamon and cardamom ) that you can enjoy it after the meal. You can find black Thermos and cups by the soup table and help yourself with that. Downstairs it is a bit squeezed place as it is narrow but they have also upstairs place.
It is worth to visit if you are around and see not busy time.
Been going there fir years and it’s always nice and yummy
Good food and deserves a visit if you’re nearby.
Came from London and was recommended this place. Food was good but some of it needed a little more salt and maybe some pepper.
I would definitely come back again.
Fantastic fresh food, I always go for the set meals as you get a mix of everything. The food has always been fresh & hot, the staff are very friendly & polite highly recommended..
The platters are delicious.
Not enough shawarma included which is disappointing and fries should be included considering price you pay
Had a amazing lunch here. Pretty good. Nice staffs.enjoyed the meal
It was a busy area. I loved the rice and lamp pieces, they were tender and delicious. They serviced the food within 10 mins.
I recommend you all– who want to have Arabian food– go to this restaurant.
The lamb platter for 2 does the trick for me everytime!!!
I travel 2hours 20mins from Bradford to enjoy a meal at this gem of a place and it's always brilliant.
I would highly recommend to try the soup before eating anything else, it's soooo good it makes your stomach ready for the main.
Check out the snaps I took of the extremely tender and juicy lamb. I just can't believe how they get it so perfect everytime. 100 Stars form me 😊
We regularly go to momos as a family, we usually order family platters which tase really nice. The staff are really friendly and humble. We really enjoy it as a family. It may not be everyone cup of tea as the food does not contain the spices that some people would prefer.
Fantastic middle eastern food available here. Great taste and fast service. This is one of my favourite places to visit for an healthy feast. I do recommend a visit to this place. Parking can be an issue as the street can get busy at certain times.
Simply put I can't recommend Momo's enough! It's simple, uncomplicated, fast and cooked well. I've been coming here and eating from their set meals for years. They'll throw in kebabs, grilled chicken, roast lamb all on a bed of rice and pasta. It's not very upmarket but it's great for good quality high volume grub at cheap prices.
So tasty and great food I have been dining in for the past 10 years. They have lamp soup as well as lentils soup that's my favourite, must give them a try
Masha'Allaah Allaahumma Baarik. Lovely food. Lovely staff. Really nice now after they have redecorated the place. I got a platter for 4 and it was more than enough food.
Would recommend and definitely eat here again.
Always good food always consistent, would definitely recommend if in the area, parking is a bit tricky but other than that give it a try
I coming to this place since 2017, until now I have always got served in a very good manners and the food tastes very delicious overall this place is amazing.
