Had dinner here on Sunday during the bank holiday weekend. Service was slow, it wasn't particularly busy but but they only appeared to have 2 staff working front of house. I guess they didn't expect it to be too busy but either way that meant a long wait for drinks and starters. Food was reasonably good but I was a bit disappointed with the calamari starter. Very nice just not enough of it. Also had the fried brie however which was very good. For mains had beef bourguignon which was nice. Crab linguine also good and my daughter had the halloumi burger. Had the cherry profiterole for dessert which was good and the chocolate pot which was fantastic, very rich and full of flavour. Too sweet for my daughter and wife but I loved it. Food is generally quite expensive however they do have 2 course and 3 course deals which are probably better value than what I did which was good off piste. 12% service charge is added on.
I went there with friends on a Saturday. The service was great. The decorations are simple and giving French bistrot vibe. As for the food, Bistrot Pierre is a chain of restaurants. Tajine, hummus? Not so French but I imagine they try to accommodate all tastes. My main was steak frite, it was good but it is just not French and the meat for some of us was a bit dry. Knowing most of their menu is meaty, that’s not a good thing. We are all French/ Belgian and we all thought this place was not up to French food standards. Overall it is a nice place but I wouldn’t say it’s French.
I went to this lovely place, and the food was really tasty, nicely presented, and there was plenty on the plate (which I appreciate). I had a starter, main course, and dessert, and honestly, I was stuffed. The only thing they could work on is the timing of bringing out the dishes – having more consistent gaps and serving things in the right order would make it even better.
Lovely French bistro in the heart of Birmingham. The food was amazing as was the service. The drinks were not bad either. Highly recommend it for a meal.
One of the first places I went to in the UK and one of the creamiest desserts I tried. Definitely recommend it. The coffee was also tasty in this combo, the view from the outdoor terrace is nice and I suggest you to try it on a sunny day.
Simply put, just the best place to eat or celebrate with as meal. Lovely place, highly recommend.
A beautiful restaurant, lovely atmosphere, great service, the starter was delicious... Just a shame that the main wasn't great
Great food and a lovely building/atmosphere. The service was a little slow with our wine arriving after we had finished the mains. It also took a while to receive/pay the bill.
I absolutely love Bistrot Pierre! The food is always tasty, and the staff are all very friendly. It is always on my list of places to visit when thinking of somewhere to go for a nice meal in a relaxing atmosphere. Their loyalty scheme is great, and the app is easy to use - highly recommended.
I went here for an office Christmas meal as part of a team of 20. The whole experience was great. The staff were very helpful through the booking process and were flexible when I had to book a few extra seats.
The food is very good. The best I've had of any Christmas meals in the last 5-6 years.
The dining experience was great, everything was very well coordinated and nobody was waiting for food. I would highly recommend Bistrot Pierre, especially for any large parties.
Food was gorgeous but relatively slow serving, although it was busy and on the plus side it gave us more drinking time, so we didn't feel rushed at all. Had afternoon tea and given choice of sitting inside or out.
Would like to go back for a main meal at some point. Nice atmosphere. Good view of canal on terrace
I visited with a group of friends, even though Iusualgo to the mere green one but this was more central for my friends. Food was up to their usual high standards. This is the first time back after the lockdown. I will definitely be back.
My husband and I were late to our reservation but Bristol Pierre happily accommodated us. We both had the calamari, sea bass fillet and crème brûlée.
The meals were delicious, filling and full of flavour. The lovely gentlemen that served us were very friendly and the atmosphere was intimate.
We’d definitely recommend this restaurant and we’ll be visiting again.
We went there for afternoon tea set without knowing it needs pre-booking. So we tried the lunch set. Glad that the food was good and overall atmosphere was pleasant. The only downside was we were sitting right next to the door and every time people walk past, the floor make loud noise and table shake a bit.
Good little bistro bar. Reasonably priced. Shame more cocktails weren't on the 2 for £12 offer.
