Possibly the best fish and chips in Birmingham? Very fresh, excellent beer batter, great chips. Service can be a bit slow at times, but the beer's great and the staff friendly. And the spacious Arts and Crafts style interior is a comfortable, atmospheric place to hang out in
I visited here a few days ago (I wanted to as I’m an aspiring writer and this very pub is referenced in a couple of my books) and was so impressed by the very cozy atmosphere, the food and how friendly the barman/landlord was. It’s in a lovely old building with a clock tower. Would recommend to any
Overall, we thought this was a lovely place to have a Sunday roast for the family. We each ordered something different but felt the sharing platter was the most value. I had the beef roast but was a bit disappointed that I had only 2 small slices of beef, however the Yorkshire pudding was generously
Really good Birmingham pub, nice atmosphere (families in for Sunday lunch). The staff were fab and the food was excellent. Improvement points, maybe a bigger selection of deserts? We asked for more gravy but that wasn't a problem, you just got us more gravy. No, it was excellent - I will come back
Sunday roast was amazing. Was served by Demi who was attentive and lovely! Thank you☺️ x
Amazing. Scotch eggs. Best I have ever had. Made fresh and the eggs were runny and cooked to perfection! Just LOOK at my photos - they tell the whole story!!!
Heard it was highly rated for Sunday Roast so a group of us decided to give it a go. Everyone really enjoyed their meal and most found some room to squeeze in dessert, which were also really good! Definitely worth the small wait for our food.
We visit for the quiz most weeks, Demi is great and we can always rely on her to lift us up on a Monday! Atmosphere and decor is perfect very pub like but more of a modern feel. We do sometimes have food and it is always great, although quite expensive compared to other similar places. The roast din
I hadn't been to this beautiful place in absolutely years, but it was like returning to somewhere that felt like a familiar pair of slippers. The gentleman who served us (Paul) is a total credit to this establishment. He's witty, funny, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. I can't wait to return he
We really enjoyed our visit for Sunday lunch. The drinks were really nice and the roast dinner was superb! The staff were super friendly and attentive. I would have given a 5 star, but the desert took 45 minutes to arrive. I ordered via the app. A function to give a wait time when the kitchen is ov
