Nothing better than hot mac & cheese and toastie for a quick lunch with friends on a cold January day. Coffee is always good, my friends had coconut latte said to be delicious.

If there is a reason to give this Costa outlet an extra point, it's the location and the building it is housed in. In fact it's not a building, more of a glass house with huge top to bottom windows and of course outside seating (for those rare British days when the sun is shining). Situated in Brindleyplace, which mind you is a great place to be if you are a foodie with its numerous bars and restaurants, Costa gets a more central outlook. It happens to be in the main "square" with the fountain steps nearby and a steady traffic of people because this is also the area were most events organised by the folks of BrindleyPlace take place.

Now, location aside, Costa is the only coffee chain that can give Starbucks a run of its, well, bucks. It's fairly well organised with a compilation of various drink options and quick bites. There are the usual hot and cold coffee/tea options and bottles drinks along with sandwiches, wraps, and cupcakes.

The staff is friendly and at times even when overworked (due to events) I've always found them to serve with a smile. The place fills up, especially the outside seating, on sunny days, but because this is a public square with steps around and other sitting places, even if you can't find a table, you can always have the food to take away and just have it nearby.

So, if you're looking for a quick coffee high or maybe a sit down for a casual meeting or want to just read a book as you sip your cappuccino and watch the world go by, this is the place to be. Best of all, they even do coffee art, which let's be honest, all food lovers and especially bloggers simply love.

I bought some leftovers using the Too Good to Go app from this store. I was really impressed with the bright frontage. The staff were really friendly when I collected my food. I was happy with the sandwiches that were in the bag.

It would've been 5 stars, but they didn't have Black Forest hot chocolate 😢 The Terry's chocolate orange hot chocolate was lovely 😋

For a small Costa the staff here were very good... Not long to wait and found a vacant table inside... 🙂 We had hot chocolates and they were fantastic. Some other customers with a young child got up and left a right mess on their table and floor and just walked out !! (which I find appalling, they must live in a dustbin to think that's acceptable in any Society) I tried to hint about the mess they were leaving as they were dusting broken crisps off their child into the floor and table but it just bounced off them... If it was my shop I'd have given them a broom before they left !! The young lady who was on duty just took it in her stride to clean up after these vagrants. After a short time I noticed this same young lady go outside where a small female child had accidentally dropped her drink and was looking quite upset... She helped clean up the mess and then made the girl another drink... Definitely above and beyond from this Costa team member and the drink was great too. 🙂

Tables need to be cleaned more frequently, it's a pretty small Costa. But good service and food. ♥️

Myself, my wife, our daughter, son in law and grandson called into this particular branch after watching hot wheels at utilita arena close by on Sunday 16th April lunchtime. The 3 staff running it were extremely busy but very accommodating and extremely friendly all of them. Nothing was too much trouble and for what looked like 3 relatively young people (2 boys 1 girl) they made us feel welcome and looked after. A real credit to themselves and a real credit to Costa coffee. 5 out of 5 stars. Well done to you 3 👏 very good 👍🏼.

Staff are brilliant; funny, respectful and friendly. Definitely deserve a raise. Make my day whenever I go in there! EDIT: It's a few years later now and I've popped in again. Staff are all different, but just as happy and fun. It's nice to know this place is still good!
