Ordered a la carte, the chef even made dumplings which weren't on the menu - and they were delicious. Good value, large portions, tasty food. Recommended.

The food was hot and very different. Unlike many Chinese no taste/trace of preservatives. A really enjoyable meal before catching the train to the airport.

Visited on a weekday. A small Chinese restaurant with not too many tables. Better reserve one in advance for holiday dining. Dim sum food was generally good. But fried noodle appeared too salty. This place appeared under staff.

Found this place via a spontaneous Google search and my word…it’s probably the best Chinese that I’ve personally eaten at. My girlfriend and I ordered a variety of Dim Sum and a plate of Beef Ho Fun each and the Dim Sum was the best Dim Sum we have eaten, whilst the Ho Fun was full of flavour and the texture was gorgeous. I would highly recommend a visit to this place!

Found this restaurant on the edge of Chinatown, it's now known as Yue Xin. Went especially for dim sum for lunch however they have quite a variety of other Chinese foods. Plenty of Chinese clientele here on a Sunday afternoon. Enjoyed different dim sum classics like siu mai, Cheung fan, spare ribs and chicken feet. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful which is quite unusual as I don't usually expect good service in many Chinese restaurants. Tasty food with decent portion sizes, will be returning to try more items off the menus.Food cost around £45 for 3 people including tea.

I purposely ordered food I had never eaten before. (except the ones I had attempted to make myself, like the steamed buns. I ordered the rice in lotus leaf, steamed buns with mushroom and chicken, Chicken feet, fish cake and steamed rice. I had sprite. I spent a total of £18.

We love this restaurant and try to factor in a meal here whenever we have a train change at New Street station. We particularly like the pork and peanut steamed dumplings but everything we’ve eaten here has been tasty and good value. Staff are friendly and helpful. Now trades as Yue Xin restaurant.

Had some lovely dim sum and noodles on this restaurant. It’s a short walk from the main Chinese quarter, but worth a visit. Staff was helpful and ultimately the dim sum was very tasty. Recommended and will come back again.

I love the fact that you get your own pot of soup so you don’t mix with your parties and you can also choose your own soup base. It’s very affordable for an all you can eat hot pot. Great customer service, the owner was so friendly and accommodating. The only negative thing I found here was that they don’t have a great selection of toppings and I noticed some items weren’t as fresh anymore (mostly vegetables as well). Nonetheless it’s still a great spot to pig out with your friends.

The restaurant is conveniently located across the street from the Station Street exit of Birmingham New Street station. I believe it’s name has now changed to Yue Xin. The restaurant has ample space and a warm interior decor. They have a dim sum menu, full meal/platter menu and liquor menu. The staff were efficient and helpful. I ordered the jasmine tea, king prawn rice roll, steamed king prawn dumpling, fried Vietnamese rolls and chicken and mushroom rice. The highlights for me were the steamed prawn dumpling and Vietnamese rolls. The jasmine tea was also really light and refreshing so I asked for a second pot which I wasn’t charged for. I enjoyed the chicken and mushroom rice which for £4.80 was a very hearty portion. The rice roll and the sauce it was in was nice just a little too thick for me. If I come again with someone I’ll definitely check out their bigger meal menu. Their dim sum was also really great value for money.

Pros: the meal was delicious and piping hot. The vegetable spring rolls were fresh and scrumptious. The restaurant was clean and well kept. We were well looked after. Cons: there is definitely a language barrier when booking over the phone and when ordering in house. This is did not put a downer on our meal as it was very tasty.

The service is very nice. And waitresses are very friendly and down-to-earth. They would like to chitchat with you. Food is just average for me local.

This restaurant is now call Yue Xin after a change of ownership. They serve wonderful and authentic dim sum during lunchtime, with generous portions and good value to boot. I went for dinner last night, and had their Chinese Soup of the Day (made with special ingredients imported from China), and a Belly Pork & Yam Casserole with Boiled Rice. Everything was delicious, and the service was both attentive and warm too. I highly recommend that you give this place a try. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed!

I rarely leave feedback but for a place like this it's worth it. My partner and I stopped by for a meal after my competition and I must say I was very pleased. Large portions, the food was fresh and very tasty, the service was friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was also enthusiastic. Importantly I left full and had no stomach revolutions afterwards. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
