The Anchor is a truly hidden gem, great staff and owner... good beers, always been a great pub, but looking and sounding better than ever.

Wonderful pub with a great choice of beers. The 'old pub' atmosphere with all the original featured makes this a must visit place in my book. Reasonable prices too for the city centre. Went last night and the place was humming. Well done Jules. See you soon

Proper old school pub with a fantastic sense of community. Nice mix of long-time punters and new drinkers which gives it an inclusive vibe. Top class cellar keeping and an awesome set of staff make it one of the best boozers in Brum!

Haven't been in here for a long time it used to be tired, gloomy and smelly. What a great job the new people have done, it has been painted, cleaned and the smell has gone. The bar staff are great, we were introduced to Jason and Ben they couldn't do enough for us and enjoyed having a chat. It's great to see an old favourite come back to life. We will definitely be going back soon.

Cute pub, just a short walk from The Bullring. Friendly staff, good cocktails, and really fun bar trivia night on Thursdays. They have outdoor seating, a pool table, and some rooms that are more private away from the bar area. There is no kitchen though, so no real food (only small snack bags for purchase).

As a non-drinker: Decent pub, no pub food, has some snacks. Prices seem ok. Some more private rooms and spaces available as well as outdoor parts. Music can get very loud during the evenings, along with the crowd. Area around isn't great to walk to and from at night.

We stopped off here for a quick drink, and very swiftly fell in love with the place - a lovely welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful decor... and best of all, that rarest of Tayto crisp flavours, PICKLED ONION!!! 🧅 Couple that with a wonderful local cask ale or three, and you've got some happy customers!

Multicameral pub, with a fairy lit courtyard garden. Lovely mash up of old school pub and a Brooklyn hipster vibe. Great selection of cask ales and craft beers. Plus a £1 pool table. Lots of events too. You could spend a long time here.

Used to visit quite a bit years ago but not been recently. Always loved the Anchor and it's a little different now but still a chilled place, love the little beer garden. Pale Brummie was really refreshing and well kept. Nice staff and friendly gaffer.

Love this place, always try to pop in when visiting family in Birmingham. Even better this time, found out they are dog friendly!! My boys welcomes with a bowl of water and treats, made to feel very welcome.
