The food was both extremely hot and very tasty. The menu offers a great choice of variety and certainly provides value for money,
The staff were all most friendly and welcoming with Skye on the bar remembering one ingredient we wanted left out of a cocktail the second time we ordered them. The food was served by a most bubbly and attentive lady.
My partner and I both agree that this may have been our first visit but it certainly won’t be the last. Thank you all for this evenings service and friendly atmosphere. You provided what many restaurants aspire to achieve and you succeeded

Never been before, bar staff were really nice and we had a giggle while she served us. Food came out in good time and it was really nice. Both plates finished and we were left alone to do so rather than being interrupted during the meal. Compliments to the kitchen staff. Seating areas were really clean. Music in the back ground helped to create a relaxing atmosphere without being too loud. Food prices are excellent. Really impressed, will definitely go again 5*
It's been years since I'd been in this pub( Bass House). We went and had lunch there and was pleasantly surprised at the good and varied menu. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. We will definitely be returning. Another great night celebrating my mother's birthday. The food was amazing,10 of us and we all enjoyed our meals. Excellent service from the waitresses too.
I have lived in England for 30 years ,I am from Canada.
I had my first visit to the Amber Tavern on Hagley Road this afternoon.
I ordered a sizzling 8 ounce sirloin steak, I just had to give this review as this steak is the best I have had since I have resided in England , delicious 😋!
The service was excellent.
When I placed my order at the bar I made a mistake and ordered fries for my wife but she wanted onion rings, when the order arrived my wife noticed my error and said to me about the mistake I had made, straight away the lady who had brought our order said she would switch the fries for onion rings ,I thought this was a very nice thing for her to do.
We will definitely be back.

Visited The Amber Tavern this afternoon just for a quick afternoon drink. The outside is well kept, plenty of car parking, looking fresh and welcoming.
Drinks - Served cold and refreshing from the bar. The offer for the drink in the app scanned no problem at all.
Staff - The guy who served me was happy and friendly. Didn't have to wait very long to be served.
Atmosphere - It is fairly busy for 2pm, but plenty of tables well spaced out so no problem finding somewhere to sit. The O2 WiFi is working fine and no problems working from laptop on it. Only comment is the background music is particularly quiet, didn't really notice it unless listened really hard. Could be up a touch - not to be loud but just to add to ambience as could mask the road noise, grass cutting outside and other peoples conversations.
Food - Didn't eat here, but the menu has a lot on it. Looks a more premium from other Sizzling have visited. Plenty to try for next time.
Overall, well worth the visit!
I had a large table booked for our family to celebrate my daughters birthday the staff were so acomadating, the food was brought out quickly for the number of guests we had and were very polite and had a positive attitude. The food was absolutely fantastic! I was so impressed I've told loads of people about our experience and we definitely will be coming again.

I came here for a family meal, there was 20 of us. I wasn't particularly looking forward to it, because I perceive the pub as a cheapo place. I was pleasantly surprised by the meal. All of my family enjoyed there meals as well. Considering there were 20 of us the wait for food was quite short. The level of service was good, with the staff being friendly and bringing our drinks to the table. The food price's are low compared with other places. So overall the Amber Tavern offers good value for money.
Amber Tavern. I love this place. They are magnificent people the staff and the stablishment. Always positive energy and vibes sports live family atmosphere anything a person or a family could wish or desire you can find it here. Thank you very much for being so kind best wishes and regards. Another lovely lunch at The Amber Tavern. This time, we went for Sizzling Grilled Chicken on a bed of vegetables, and Sizzling Chicken Fajitas 😋😋😋 Enjoyed every single piece, very, very nice 👌.
With family and friends, food was very good for the price , some great deals on as well.
The staff brought a birthday cake over, and sung happy birthday to my lad .
We had cocktails after , which again are very reasonably priced.
Unfortunately when we arrived the table that was reserved for us was occupied even though it had a reserved notice. Eventually a team member came to help and the situation was resolved. Our meals were ordered and were delivered promptly and were hot, as requested, which was an improvement on the previous visit.

The first time we had been there it was my sons birthday so we booked a table as soon as we walked to the bar the lovely staff were only willing to help you there was no rush we ordered our food and and within 10 minutes it was at our table sizzling and smelling lovely the food was well presented and the staff were brilliant the food was piping hot and all three of us had different meals the steak was cooked perfectly and the tandori chicken with hot vegetables was great I would like to thank the staff for being so attentive we are planing our next visit for my birthday in April we done to all the staff
The place has just been refurbished, and it's lovely. I've been here twice now, and the staff have been warm and welcoming. The food was served piping hot, quickly, and of good quality. I thoroughly recommend a visit. You won't be
disappointed.
All the food we had was really nice. One of our party commented that the gammon was the best he had eaten out. Generous portions, especially the puddings . Great and enjoyable experience had by all ,nice birthday meal.
As always the service was great and we were very satisfied with the food and drink. The staff are always very polite and accommodating and make us feel valued and welcome whether we’re popping in for just a quick drink, spot of lunch or family birthday celebration.
My elderly mother doesn’t eat out often but when she does we only ever bring her to the Amber Tavern as in her words she’s “never had a bad steak at the Amber!”
Since we first had a family meal here in 2019 for my sons 16th birthday it has now become a tradition that we try and come for my sons birthday on 10th Oct and my mother’s on 29th Dec.
She was 70 on this visit and my son will be 21 in 2024 so here’s to many more enjoyable meals at the Amber Tavern
Great food. I can't complain, we had a large group and everything was perfect. Cant recommend enough.
We’re welcomed by the staff and felt in professional hands. Food was cooked to perfection I would recommend trying the Jacob’s ladder.
