Sun On The Hill - Birmingham - Photo album

Came in for brunch with my partner. We had originally gone to the wetherspoons next door but there were no free tables and I'm so glad we went next door to Sun On The Hill. It was moderately busy but we got a table easily and order was taken straight away at the bar. The guy who served me was frien
Went in mid afternoon for something to eat. The guys behind the counter were lovely, the food was quick to arrive and was really nice when it arrived. I've eaten here a few times before and this time was the best. The fried we had were really good. Will definitely go back again.
The Sunday Roasts were outstanding. Plenty of everything. We added a portion of cauliflower cheese each, but one portion between two would have been plenty. The beer was great. The staff were friendly and attentive. No complaints at all.
Excellent place in Birmingham. The food is good quality and tasty the skin on fries are particularly good. Lots of lagers as well as a couple of Ales on draught. Good choice of gins and other spirits are available too. Good seating as well as very clean. The staff are brilliant and serve you qu
Great place. I have been here quite a few times. The atmosphere is amazing. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.
We came in here just walking past and ended up staying here for a lot longer than expected. It was a Sunday evening and was a nice chilled atmosphere. Nice environment to be in to have a catch up with friends. Towards the end of our night there was an individual bothering us. As a tiny group of wome
This place gets 4 stars on the strength of the atmosphere - which is very laid back - and also the temperature - which is just right, and that's what you want on a Tuesday in January. Beer wise they don't have the best choice but for a lazy after work beer it makes a good fist of it. Will of course
Brilliant door staff, good drinks, cracking music
Great food & excellent service, as always. I used to visit The Sun On The Hill mainly for drinks and their lovely breakfast, but on Sunday I tried their Sunday roast. It came in a very generous portion, therefore very good value for money, and more importantly it was delicious!
A great place to soak up the vibrant atmosphere. Drinks are more expensive than Briar rose next door, however, the atmosphere here makes up for it. Nick is enthusiastic member of staff who will discuss real ales and his home town/ county Bedfordshire

Popped in for lunch and enjoyed a chicken burger and chips, the food was hot, tasty and the service was great. Lovely pint of thatchers gold too! They're also part of Independent Birmingham so I got 25% of the bill to boot! Only negative I could possibly find that it was a bit quiet but not surprisi
The food , staff it's nice tho u don't have options for extra cheese for nachos and this made us barley eat them .
Noisy, good crowd, average age 30-40. Live music, reasonably priced beverages. A regular for after work 'going for one drink' but turning into too many drinks ;-)
