Perhaps the best dining experience I've ever had.
Absolutely amazing service. Great food and the experience was memorable.
A special thanks to Pav!
In my opinion the best Indian in the harborne area, I've been harborne tandoori & regards, I definitely rate bangla above them. The food is plentiful and extremely tasty, the guys always look after you, there is a decent midweek meal deal. Can't beat a free brandy after your meal to.
I've used their takeaway service too and this is always great.
Went again to Bangla lounge Harborne and had another very pleasant time. Having been before with three friends, this time there were six of us. Starting with the imli imli imli starter which as as delicious as before, this time I opted for thr Mix Jaipuri dish which was a delight. Not too hot, but packing plenty of punch this dish is a hot and sour mouthwatering treat. Like a pathia but a little richer i found the mix of good quality lamb and chicken very satisfying. Others started with a variety of starters from the tasty lamb samosa triangle to the trio of starters including prawn on puri which we have enjoyed before.
Interestingly we all opted for peshwari naans which are crisp yet soft and chewy with a dash of syrup and nuts on it which works really well. Sweet but not intrusively so it was the perfect match for the hot and sour flavours of the jaipuri which was also chosen by another of the diners with me. The only person to order pilau rice instead of a naan also chose a korma which was creamy, rich and fragrant.
The meal was washed down with a couple of large cobra beers which were well chilled and as good as ever. To my surprise, despite not having enough room for a desert (the usual suspects of bought in ice cream variations and kulfis including the ubiquitous coconut kulfi in a shell) we were treated to complimentary coffees and brandy and my wife was given a double pastis as it was her birthday.
Considerate and attentive yet low key service only helped to make the experience pleasant and rewarding. I thought Id review his restaurant a second time as they deserve the praise. I hope you enoy your meal there as much as I did.

Had a lovely meal at Bangla Lounge last weekend. We had a couple of drinks and didn't arrive till after 11pm. The staff had clearly had a busy evening, but took the trouble to be polite and courteous and service was prompt.
We start with some poppadoms which were nice, crisp and fresh and served with an array of dips and onion which covered all the usual bases.
The starters included a chicken puri and a dish I had never had before called something like 'Ilam Ilam Ilam' which was a lovely hot and sour dish with chicken, lamb and prawn with just the right balance and heat level.
I had a mixed Jalfrezi which again contained the trinity of meats which held their own in the sauce which was a happy medium heat with some tasty fresh peppers brightening up the flavours . I would have liked a few more prawns but the balance was good, plenty of tender lamb in their place. Overall rather nice. The rice with it was flavoursome too, I certainly couldn't complain.
The piece de resistance though and it might sound stupid but it was their nan breads. Being of the thinner and more crispy style - divided helpfully up in to quarters - they were the tastiest nan breads I think I have ever eaten. Between us we had a delicious plain nan, a really beautifully chewy, crisp, sweet and coconutty peshwari nan and a garlic and coriander nan which was very good.
I found that the portion sizes were very well judged too. There was nothing left when we had finished, but we all felt completely sated. We skipped deserts.
We left a larger tip than we normally would as the meal justified it.
I'd definitely go again, it didn't disappoint.
My favourite Indian Restaurant. So cute and intermate too in this cosy little place. Staff are so friendly and on each of the last 3 times I've been we've (along with the rest of the restaurant) have been given a free mini dessert and offered a complimentry brandy! Really Great value for money regardless - and I absolutely love the peswari narns ❤️! Thanks again for a great night!
We ordered here initially in error as it is further way than we thought. But it was definitely worth the drive to collect!
The food was amazing! Their signature starter dish is to die for, as well as the mains!
The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is quirky, clean and stylish.
Can definitely recommend for a takeaway or even a sit down meal.
Thanks guys!
We have been here a few times now. Never once had a bad experience. The gentleman here are so friendly it's refreshing to see manners! Even have the option to take food away is not all eaten. Brilliant prices as well! Food is incredible each time!! We drive 45 minutes each time to get there and back. So worth it. Just fabulous! 5 star easy!! Can't wait to go back. :)
A good evening out. We were a party of 12 and the staff coped well with the variety of orders. All starters were delivered together, as were the mains (with a slight delay for just one of us, but not a problem). All food was delicious, my lamb was cooked to perfection. Sides were delicious too. Only disappointment for me was the lack of a dessert menu. Staff very friendly and helpful, food was good value for money.
We frequently visit this restaurant that's tucked away in Harborne. The staff are friendly and helpful with no pressure to down your drinks. The food is amazingly spiced and my wife and I try a different curry each time. Generous servings make it even better value considering it is a cheap place to dine anyway.. love it!
what a delicious meal!!! We have tried countless curry places in Birmingham & this is the best by far - and on our doorstep the whole time! We had the bengal fish curry (which was beautifully tender and flavourful) and a variety of vegetable dishes which were all delicious in their own way, and refreshingly - not greasy as in many of the other (highly rated) places that we've tried. The price is excellent to top it all off! thanks Bangla Lounge :)
A very pleasent environment with decor a bit neutral so as not to offend anyone. Good quality food with the ability to change how spicy the dish comes, which I found very useful! Being critical the staff seemed like they were just there to earn a living and not engaged in the customer.
I went with my daughter Tuesday Violet and we had a lovely evening. Fantastic service, very friendly and accommodating Staff. The food was 2nd to none and we enjoyed every mouthful.
Will definitely go again and also learned that they provide a takeaway service too. Fantastic.
Having ordered a variety of food in Bangla lounge Indian restaurant on Harbourne High Street, Birmingham I was looked after by H the manager from start to finish with excellent customer service. (Having speaking to him for half an hour whilst the food was cooked in the kitchen I was offered a complimentary drink as a good will gesture.
As it happend we had previous experiences together from his previous Bombay Mix restaurant where I helped with my security services helping him & his team of workers .
But having eaten with my family the food I ordered at Bangla Lounge I was highly satisfied with £35 special I ordered
I'm looking forward to enjoying the fabulous experience again either dining in or take away .
Highly recommended.

Excellent curry house - never had a bad meal here and there's enough of a range that you can always try something different if that's your thing. Good poppadoms and dips (always a bonus in my view), reasonable prices and friendly service - what more could you want?
Came here last night to celebrate my partners 60th Birthday. There was a bit of a mix up with a table we booked. However the staff soon resolved the problem.Food was great.service was great.Staff were very friendly. We all enjoyed the food and drinks and cake! Thank you for making our night great.Mags and Gary.
What a great little jem tucked away. Had a fantastic meal, and the service was great to boot. Hadn't booked a table but made to feel welcome and happy to get us a table. If I'm in Brum again would go back again.
Wow this place gets better and better.
Complimentary drinks on arrival, 3 course meal for £15 and exemplary service. What's not to like about this place.
Will be back again very soon
My whole family love eating from the Bangla Lounge. They are friendly, helpful and the food is delicious. We usually have takeaway and the food is always piping hot and just as you asked for it. Can always recommend this restaurant.
