Reviews Loco Lounge

I'm not one to leave restaurant reviews normally, but I had to for this one. Visited last night as a group of 7 adults whilst visiting family nearby. We chose this place due to the fact they have a gluten free menu which actually has more to offer on the dessert menu than ice cream. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and most of us opted for tapas. The only down point was that some of the tapas was unexpectedly spicy, so I personally couldn't eat one of my dishes which was disappointing. However, the rest of the food was fantastic. The staff here are very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for me and my family despite us being a bit of a fussy bunch. The décor is unique and interesting and the atmosphere is great. As someone who can't eat wheat I couldn't wait to try the gluten free brownie. It did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned. We enjoyed this place so much, my husband and I intend to visit our own one at Liverpool which we didn't even know about before. Let's hope it is as successful a visit as Loco lounge was.

Been coming here for years it’s our go to place for a catch up and delicious food. Always polite and friendly staff, we never have to wait long for the food (which is nom and reasonably priced) Tonight the waiting staff overheard my daughter talking about it being her birthday so they brought over complimentary cake! Nice

The only thing that disappointed me about Loco Lounge is the fact that I have never been there before. It was hard to find fault with the place. We were part of a large group, and the staff couldn't do enough to help us! The place had a real cool vibe about it, and not only that it was super family friendly! There was plenty of high chairs, and even books and toys for children to play with. The kitchen did their best to bring all our meals out together and the food was great! We can't wait to go back!

Very hard to find a place you can take your dog and eat a meal. Found here online. Very very pleasantly surprised. Great music, lovely decor and atmosphere. Good selection of drinks that aren't mainstream. Gorgeous burger and the apple cheesecake alone I would come back for!!! Loved it. Will come again when we are next in brum. :)

Really good food and great service. Very helpful as well. Would highly recommend. We went on Mothers Day and thought we would have to wait for ages but surprisingly there were a few tables available and staff were so fast that there were tables left in no time. Food was a 40 minute wait but theres plenty of stuff to pass the time. We didn't think this was bad at all for Mothers Day as we choose here because nowhere else was available. We will be returning soon. :)

Food was lovely. I had meatballs on tapas menu and they were beautiful. Dare I say even better than Miller and Carter's. Cocktails very nice(Just need to have pornstar martini and pink gin available). Staff so friendly and helpful. And the restaurant lovely especially the terrace area. I work in kings heath and walk past it every day and usually go to the wetherspoons as prices always put me off. But it's true that you get what you pay for and I will go back again... Really impressed

Went here with my Mom and Cousin for Brunch on my Birthday and I loved it! Food was great and there's multiple Vegitarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options too! The atmosphere was nice (Plus you can bring dogs! 😄) and the service was good too! Got a free birthday mock tail which was really nice of the staff to give me! Wish it was a bit closer to home though so I could go more often 😭😂 Would definitely come back again! 😄

Decent place to eat....I went at lunchtime, it was very busy . I think they were shortstaffed because we had to remove the previous customers empty plates from the table . Can use the QR code at your table to order food which was handy. Food was tasty and I ate everything and so did my guests .

To be honest this place is underrated. The food always exceeds my expectations and love the deals you can get on weekdays. Definitely try out their house wines if you get the chance, better than any I've tried before. Been to other Restaurants of this chain as well and although the food is always amazing the atmosphere and the staff here are even nicer than at the other chains like Sorrento Lounge.

Great place to eat in Kings Heath! We went on Mother’s day and the place was at full capacity. As usual, the team working were fantastic. Food and drinks arrived as quick as they usually do on less busy days and not one team member came across as flustered/stressed with the increased volume of orders! Such a pleasant experience and the Bloody Mary made (off menu) by the lovely lady taking orders at the bar was PHENOMENAL!! Thanks guys ☺️

First time visit and the food was delicious. Had a busy day ahead and this filled me up perfectly. The right proportion and amount. Definitely recommend. Coming back when I fancy trying the tapas! 👌

This place is lovely inside and the atmosphere was nice. The food is overpriced and a bit pretentious though. If you have the halloumi burger you'll struggle to find the 'roasted red peppers and chilli jam' as it's such a scant amount. Paid an upgrade for the sweet potato fries but again you don't get many. Tasted nice but disappointing overall. From what I saw all the servings are very small. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean.

We love this place. Food isn't going to win awards but it's tasty and consistent. The staff are fantastic. So helpful amd attentive...service is speedy. Its perfect for kids. Kids menu varied and it comes quickly so you don't have to fear the hungry child. They get a free lil pot of hummus n breadsticks soon as they arrive. This week we paid for a kids dessert on the app but was for a baby so asked for just one scoop of ice cream. They refunded us the desert saying we shouldn't have to pay for just one scoop. Really kind.

Everything just perfect. The friendly girl with glasses who bought our food, the nice man on the bar who seems to be in charge, so very friendly and welcoming. The carrot and coriander soup was just to die for! If you are considering the “afternoon deal” of the soup and half a panini, don’t hesitate! And the Mac cheese just great. Thanks for a lovely meal

Good, dependable food and lovely staff. The only reason why I didn’t give a 5 star is purely because I personally found the place to be a bit too dark on the inside. I appreciate many people like the ambience that way, but for me, its a bit too dimly lit.

Went with friends and their little boy. Service was excellent straight away as we were advised to go upstairs and found a comfy sofa to sit on (5 of us in total). Ordered via the app and drinks came pretty quickly. Wine was well received, I wasn't that keen on the menabrea draught, bartenders in this country just don't seem to realise a decent lager needs a head on it. It came pretty flat but it was ok. The cruzcampo was the same (but I don't think it's a great lager anyway). Chips we ordered as a snack were nice, very small portions though. Fair value for money, but the service was excellent throughout, the two lads who brought our drinks and food were friendly and welcoming and that makes up for the pretty poor lager serves! We always go to a lounge when we're out and about and would definitely return here when back in Birmingham.

Lovely place to have a coffee and enjoy some light meals. They also have a separate menu for vegans and cater for those with food allergies. Well worth a visit and parking nearby.

This large bohemian lounge beholds Art Deco interior cues out of the orient express. It offers interesting concepts like book sharing and charity cake selections. On top of that, the loco lounge offers a broad, eclectic menu with everything from a full English to a chicken Katsu to a Mexico taco. It’s mad, it’s loco... lounge.
