Food is lovely �. Our server was very well mannered and explained our choices thoroughly. We had the Chef Special... basically a selection of everything ����. I can highly recommend this place for quality & quantity. We had to take food home there was loads left ��������

Absolutely amazing food. Have been here a number of times mostly for takeaway food but eaten in a couple of times. Friendly and accommodating staff with generous and tasty food. Definitely a family favourite in my household!

This is a great place for a good authentic Turkish grill. I've been coming here regularly pretty much since it opened and the food has been consistent every time - expertly grilled meat, exceedingly generous portions and brilliant flavour. The Istanbul mixed grill is the meal to order - coming with a generous selection of grilled meats and great tasting donner meat, which is considerably better than any run of the mill kebab shop. The unsung heroes of the meals are always the well prepared salad and the great dips - the homemade chilli sauce and garlic dip really go well with the grilled meat.
I've taken many friends from die hard Indian grill fans to a few posher people who wouldn't usually consider eating at a restaurant without a table cloth, however every time they have been astounded with the quality of the food and enjoyed the experience.
The restaurant itself is fairly small (with seats being filled very fast) but they are always very accommodating. Service is a bit hit and miss as the staff changes very regularly, but the regular staff there are always very quick and helpful.
This is a place that I will always be happy to go too and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for an authentic Turkish meal.
Fantastic food, excellent service. The meatball starter was out of this world. I visited the Istanbul on 23rd may on my birthday with my family. what a great choice I will be definatley be going back.

excellent meat grills.all keeping the good Turkish qualities..Lamb dishes and flavours shows decent type of meat.Bulgur & rice pilavs are excellent too.Salads are good too especially use of pomygranede sauce.To summarise it is a good place to sample Turkish food.
First visit yesterday following recommendation from friends. Food amazing- good quality and good price. Dinner comes with the most amazing complementary salad and some scrummy bread. Service really friendly and didn't even mind spending the £4 corkage fee. Will definitely be going again.
Great service. Complementary bread and salad when we got in, starters were really tasty and portions massive! Best turkish restaurant in Birmingham - better than both Syriana and shiraz. Only drawback is the location but for the price and value you get you really can't complain. Keep it up Istanbul!
we went for dinner there tonight and found it really authentic! Lots of our Turkish favourites including cheese and parsley parcels, haloumi, lamb shish. The service was great, we were even introduces to Turkish tea. The food was delicious and the portions were huge- we couldn't finish it all! I would really recommend it and can't wait to go back!

Lovely, clean, warm restaurant. Food is delicious & very generous portions. Their Turkish tea is one of the best I've had. Roya was a fantastic waitress, very polite and kind. I would definitely recommend.
The best thing about this place was the service. There was one hard working lady who was working there who was running around serving everyone very quickly.
The hummus and the dips were excellent. The bread was above average as well. The halloumi could be improved.
We ordered a mix kebab which consisted over chicken Shish, mixed shish, and Adana. They were all fantastic. Cooked nicely with a light char on top. Not too garlicky. Served with some nice bulgar and white rice.
There is a smoking area in the back outside, which was irritating until we closed the door. Otherwise, nothing that wouldn’t bring us back for more.
Absolutely delicious and fast served food... Just perfect if you have a child as they lose pacience... So I am more than happy with everything. Delicious lamb rimbs, perfect cooked.. Definitely we are coming back.

Wow! Would leave more stars if i could. Stepped in for a take away and was greeted with a friendly smile and absolutely excellent service! The owner (i assume) was so friendly and nice, gave my child a lollipop and a drink while we were waiting for our food, so sweet! It’s not near where i live but whenever i’m around the area i will definitely pop in. Also, needless to say - food was absolutely delicious !! Thank you xxx

We were a group of 10, although quiet at the time with maybe 3 or 4 tables, food was served in a timely manner.
Great food, fresh and warm, naan breads were decent. Food was flavourful and tender, platter for two was a good size and filling.
This is a hidden gem and I can not recommend it enough. The staff were all very welcoming and made sure our experience was a good one. We went as a group of 4 friends and had the Istanbul platters, which was a very impressive feast, perfectly cooked and presented. We will definitely be going back!
