Excellent service. I went in with a friend today and I asked if there were any gluten free options. They were all out of gluten free brownies so the lovely lady behind the till gave me some gluten free chocolate goodies she had just been gifted. That is going above and beyond with fantastic service! The flat white I had was beautiful and the ambience of the cafe is so cosy and warm on a chilli Autumn evening! I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to the lovely lady for the gluten free goodies..they were much appreciated
Brilliant service! friendly polite staff who clearly enjoy their job, made us feel comfortable. Very relaxed atmosphere would recommend to anyone. Cute place for couples. We enjoyed a light meal and hot drink in peace. Without doubt We'll be returning soon .
By far the best coffee shop in Moseley with lovely friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Worth a visit
Lovely food and very welcoming staff, we had great and tasty lunch for a good price thank you!
The staff here are amazing so friendly helpful and genuinely love doing what they do and are great at it. I accidentally spilled an entire bottle of water and made a mess everywhere but they were so kind and cleared it all up and did not make me feel bad at all. Very welcoming and exactly what Moseley should be about. Thanks so much xxx
Beautiful place to catch up over food and drink. The best local in Moseley Village
Beautiful place with friendly staff definitely will be visiting it again ...
Great service and cakes are on point!
Best cafe in Moseley. Lovely cappuccino and delightful food. When you need to chill for a moment or two, there is no better place.
Amazing place to visit in Birmingham. Atmosphere very chilled lovely place to relax, would def recommend 10/10.
First visit today but it definitely won't be the last. Lovely place to hide out for an hour or two and enjoy some lovely food and a cosy atmosphere.
Been here many times. Great place for a nice coffee and catch up. Nice atmosphere. Great coffee and lovely cakes too!
Staff are very friendly. Great location. Parking can be an issue on weekdays. Also £5 min if you wanna pay by credit card.
The chicken sandwich here is really nice! Other food selection looks good too. Need to try some milkshakes. Their opening hours are long, which is useful. Music sometimes played a lil loud and limited seating quite close together. Nice local place.
Excellent café with a cosy atmosphere. Great coffee and the most friendly staff. What more can you want?
I drove all the way from Liverpool in the morning and needed to find a place where I can work for the day, but I also had a little pooch with me. No problem at all. The café is dog friendly and they definitely made my little pooch feel welcome.
It was also perfect for work - double sockets are located by every table.
The lady serving behind the counter was excellent, super friendly, was very attentive to every customer that walked in through the door - I could see that a lot of people walking in were locals and she made an effort to speak to all of them.
If I lived in this area, I would definitely come here every day!
Great little coffee shop in Moseley village. It was lovely to walk in on a dark, wet December afternoon into a cosy and warm shop. I didn't eat so can't comment on the food, but the cappuccino was just as it should be; smooth and creamy. Will definitely be back.
Was over in South Birmingham again on Sunday so decided to drop down into Moseley (love the place). We were looking for a cosy cafe just for my 4pm cuppa, love my teas and this place looked so lovely. A very warm welcome from the owner(s) and a complimentary crepe (absolutely delicious) and we settled down for a half hour catch up haha. Two hours later we left having eaten...My partner has never been a big meat eater so he had the Goats Cheese Salad with Caramelized Onion and I had the Tuna Mayonnaise Salad as I eat fish probably 3 times a week, most weeks. The food was so fresh and the balsamic dressing was so light, both dishes were really tasty too. The ambience in the cafe is spot on and as I spend so much time going between Harborne, Kings Heath and Moseley it won't be too long before I'm back here again. Thank you for a truly lovely, restful couple of hours.
Very nice place, loved the artwork and atmosphere. Popped in with a old friend for a coffee and catch up. Most definitely a place I plan to visit again.
Classic 1920s
Definitely the swankiest, arty, coolest, hippest coffee shop in the Moseley/Kings Heath area... great decor theme...I would describe it as classic/1920s art noveau
Located ideally in Moseley Village at the Alcester/Woodbridge Rd junction where you can people watch to your heart's content! ...
You are welcomed by cool friendly staff who have clearly been well recruited to project a friendly and stylish atmosphere... credit goes to the owner Bob who is passionate about the the service provided and a thorough gentleman!
oh and the coffee blend is excellent👌
Really nice little independent coffee shop. Open late and serves great pastries. Just wanted to find a coffee place to sit and catch up with a friend. It looks like they do food too so will have to try that. Great service, good prices and a lovely vibe. Will be back again. The barista said indie coffee shops are better and she was right. We had a raspberry muffin each and it was lovely. Light and fluffy, quite sweet but the raspberries cut through. I’d recommend this place happily.
Nice tasty Panini 'Alcester' (Halloumi, Leaves & Caramelised Onions)£4.95 + Strong Coffee 'Piccolo' £2.10.
Outdoor seating.
Update for owner :-
To achieve a 5 star rating, my suggestion would be :-
1. Discount for O.A.Ps
2. Menu to takeaway
3. Receipt for purchase.
4. Voucher for every 4 Coffee's you get 5th
one free.
Great local coffee house. Nice atmosphere, good choice of sandwiches / ciabatta & great cake selection (love the Victoria Sponge). On a subsequent visiit we sat outside with our dog and they very kindly brought her some water. Toasted sandwichesand cappuccino still very good and fabulous cake!
I gave this place a shot today (mostly because of the personal responses by the owner on a lot of these reviews). I was pleasantly surprised! I rarely use my writing juice for reviews, but I was really glad I turned up.
I live a mile out and have a project I need to write for the duration of the year -- and I can't work in my makeshift office at home for more than three days in a row or I get twitchy. This was number #1 on my list of cafes to try and the closest to where I live -- I think I need not look any further.
Liked -- It closes down quite late at night, at 10; I found out after ordering my drink that they have a variety of milk alternatives (including Oat Milk) for folks who'd like to steer away from dairy; their portions are generous (just see the pic); seating was comfortable; atmosphere was pleasant and it's on the quieter side for a cafe (which is a huge plus); the toilets were clean. Prices were spot on.
The music, in hindsight, gets a big fat thumbs up. You can't go wrong with a bit of James Brown or Aretha Franklin ♬
Loved -- first time I've had a vegan cheese on nachos, and I'm typically not thrilled by vegetarian nachos. But I was VERY surprised at how good this was. I hope it wasn't a one-hit wonder (Damian made it and then chased me down the road when I accidentally left my doggy bag at the till -- sorry!); I would definitely order it again. Guacamole and salsa tasted great and are made fresh!
More focus on sound: there's a serious lack of quiet cafes in the midlands and down south, especially in busy areas, so this place is a big plus for people like myself who want to be able to meet friends and not have to shout, to share ideas, or focus and work on something important. I fell in love with an Artisan cafe in London, where the placement of speakers was taken seriously, and generally paying more attention to improving the sound-culture in a cafe made all the difference. Music should improve not get in the way of a cafe experience -- and there is a secret to when you know you have the balance just right: allow for silence in-between the music. If you have it just right, the silence will go entirely unnoticed.
Gorgeous coffee. Amazing atmosphere. Super friendly staff. The cakes were amazing.I chose red velvet and my friend opted for the classic carrot cake, which was blimmen scrumptious.Love the whole ambiance in this place in terms of the decor and art work on the walls ( which you can purchase!) It feels very cosy and warm.love this place my little sanctuary.
A lovely little spot in Moseley village. A great selection of drinks and cakes, and the service is welcoming and friendly.
My mocha with extra chocolate was amazing!! (I'm not a huge coffee person!) Staff was lovely and I felt very welcome with my 3 month old.
Visited last weekend with my dog, we were both very well looked after! Great coffee and a never ending bowl of jerk salad. Friendly staff.
Reasonable price and cozy coffee spot.
Lovely cafe with a relaxed cosy vibe. Open later than most so a great non drinking evening option. The menu had lots of options and had very decent portions for the price. The staff were really friendly and even let us borrow their umbrella to get home in the rain!
