I highly recommend this restaurant if you want quality Chinese food that fills you up without spending a lot!
The 2 of us ordered Lemon chicken with rice , and Salt & Chilli King Prawn with rice. Absolutely delicious.
The place to go to if you want big portions at a reasonable price - wouldn’t say the food quality, hygiene or the service is the best, but you pay what you get.
I would recommend the roast meat, especially the roast duck and soya chicken, while the roast char siu (pork) is slightly dry.
This is just a really good Chinese style cafe that serves really good food...the roast there is the best! Good value too! Also had the cold tofu dessert 😋🤤
No frills place with decent portions! Fantastic place to get nice food in brum.
Always delicious good prices been going here with friends for a few years. Food is tasty and authentic, ordered crispy pork noodle soup, chicken and green pepper in black bean sauce, duck and mixed vegetables and beef ho fun.
It doesn’t look like much from the front and inside is the same, but what does draw your attention is the traditional roasted meat hanging in the window.
I went for the salt and pepper kings prawns with rice and a side of curry sauce. The prawns were freshly cooked and a generous portion. I’m glad I went for curry sauce as it would be a bit dry for my liking otherwise.
The 3 or 4 meat roast from Peach Garden is a popular choice and loved by many who say it’s very authentic. If you fancy trying this be aware that the meat isn’t served hot and you will have bones.
We also ordered tofu in black bean sauce. It was the soft, sort of eggy like tofu. The stir fried veg was nice and crunchy. It would have benefitted for a little more sauce to go with the good serving of rice you get.
Service was efficient and food is served super quickly. You can also order to take away.
I don't come here for plush and luxury. What Peach Garden has to offer is great Cantonese food. Their squid with salt and chilli is spectacularly good, as are many other dishes.
Front of house is welcoming and entertaining permeating this small restaurant with warm personality.
What a great place for a meal.
I'm genuinely astonished by the contrasting opinions in the other reviews.
Over the past two years, I've made it a habit to visit this place twice a week during my lunch break, and I've consistently been blown away by the experience.
For anyone seeking genuine, authentic food, this establishment is unparalleled.
The taste and quality of every dish are simply divine, the portion sizes are incredibly generous, and the service embodies the essence of an authentic restaurant experience.
Their crispy pork belly is out of this world, the Singapore fried rice is a true delight, and the chowmein is simply irresistible.
Delicious food at this authentic, no frills restaurant. Only downside for me was they don't serve alcohol. I had the triple roast on recommendation which did not disappoint.
i was up in birmingham for the weekend and visited peach garden for dinner on friday night.
the restaurant itself is a very stripped back back cafeteria - cash only also.
the food... incredible. we both went for 2 meat and rice (duck & char siu pork) and shared barbecue spare ribs and prawn crackers. the food came out not long at all after ordering and didn't disappoint. i love duck, but the pork was actually my favourite here!
I have been more than 15 years never been to Birmingham. This time visit, I go to this restaurant again. The food is still reamin the same quality of food and it is very delicious, so I visit there everyday. The owner's family is so overwhelming and friendly, I'll definitely visit them again in future. Thanks for your hospitality for this whole week.
Authentic and tasty cantonese food. However, don’t expect Ritz service or environment. A proper hole in the wall but it’s worth a try.
Very value for $$. Huge portions we ordered 1 duck and it came in 2 big plates. Same for the chicken which came in 2 big plates. Roast meat and roast pork were delicious. Chicken was well seasoned. Duck was a little cold if warmer would be perfect. Rice n noodles were stir fried perfectly. Will forsure come back because it's cheap!!
Friendly staff, wasn't too busy when I arrived on a Weds lunchtime but soon became very busy.
I ordered the four meat with rice and a hot soya drink, came to £14.
Such a wide variety on their menu.
They take cash only so I had to dash to a cashpoint. Just to bear in mind, the majority of shops and restaurant tend to only take cash.
Hidden gem hidden away in small alleyway in the Chinatown in Birmingham. Excellent value for money and great home cooked style food. Always busy especially during lunchtime. A very big menu and lots to choose from Chinese cuisine. I love the 3/4 meat roast with rice. Crispy pork with rice is also yummy. You almost feel like you are in Hong Kong!
Visited this lovely traditional Chinese after reading about it in a places to visit in Birmingham and I wasn't disappointed the food and the service was amazing 10 stars would have been better this place truly is a hidden gem we will definitely be back for takeaway next time in Birmingham
