The Old Hare And Hounds - Birmingham - Photo album

Easter Sunday I was expecting it to be quite busy for lunch but think we booked a nice early time. We used Jam donut vouchers we had purchased before hand and the server was very helpful and we was able to redeem no problem (although our return later wasn’t so great when trying to redeem remaining b
They have lovely open fires. With a relaxed atmosphere. It's an Embers pub so the food is always good. Even though it was really busy they served the food quickly. Perfect for a post walk meal after spending all afternoon in the hills.
We had a lovely visit, we were sat on a small table by the fire. Considering there were 4 of us it was a squeeze with dinner plates on the table. We had to put the menu holder on the floor to make more room for our plates. Food was lovely, no complaints at all. Staff were very warm and welcoming.
2nd visit in only a few weeks. My first visit was excellent. Friendly staff, freshly prepared food and a warm atmosphere. This time, quite different. Staff were inattentive and the food was delivered out of cinque with our fellow diners. One meal had to be returned, the chicken had been cooked to le
Went for a meal today during the pandemic. I think the pub is under new management as you can tell the improvement in service straight away. We was greeted at the door, shown where to enter our car registration for the free car park space. What I wanted was on the old menu, but the kitchen cooked it
Had a great time at H&H as always! I did get a parking fine mistakenly, however they were so helpful- once I showed I was there at the time they immediately cancelled the fine. Friendly staff. A great place to go.
Nice pub, friendly staff, nice food great selection of beers. Was a slight delay in getting food but worth the wait. Nice big car park too
Came here with friends and I didn’t put my details in for registration. I ended up with a fine. Called them and Jim was so helpful cancelling this for me and reassuring me that I won’t have to pay. Bonus that the food is lovely too! Thanks Jim
Love this place, whether it’s food or a quick drink of an evening. We can take the dog in with us so no need to worry about leaving him behind. Forgot to put my reg details in so got a fine but this was quickly cleared upon showing the bar staff the bank transaction. Great place, nothing bad to say
Visited with my dad daughter and grandad, food was great and fairly priced , the staff were friendly and polite. My grandad didn't enter his reg properly on arrival so was sent a fine in the post but I called the pub up and they sorted it out straight away without hesitation, can't fault them at all
Great apart from being in the dog section, and we didn't bring the dog this time we were with friends and needed a bigger table. Hopefully, next time, we'll get the carpeted end. The friends we were with said that's the third time we've had this table, lol 😆
This is a cosy clean wonderful pub. I only found it recently as my bf has moved into the area. We’ve already popped in several times! The service is ok, food decent, environment is safe and super friendly people. Gets very busy in December, worth reserving a table. Pub full of laughs and joy!
Really was a 'pub' meal food good decently priced service was excellent - staff friendly and professional but standard of dress was poor a management issue
Been a few times some better than others, food is average large beer garden but tables need to be cleared each time we have been glasses left outside. The fire inside is ace tho👍 M&B have come along way!! Parking is good just remember to enter your registration in the touch screen to the right of the
Great pub, never had a bad meal, the French dip burger is amazing, cooked perfectly and always my go too, the staff (especially Sarah) are always friendly and always say Hi, Just remember to put your car registration in before you leave
Tried the chicken snitznel off the new menu and it was delicious.
Just stopped for a quick beer after hiking locally. Nice choice of ales. I had Oakham citra,,, could have had more exexpt for driving. Talking of which the carparking spaces are very narrow hard to get in and out of your car as they are packed in. Otherwise clean pub and toilets and friendly bar st
