I always enjoy having a drink at the sunflower. Great music, good crowd drinking in there, if you like something a little more indie, then it's the place for you. Plays real music.

El Sunflo manda. Buena música en vivo y ambiente decente. A veces se está algo prieto.

Great little venue, good staff, good choice of drinks, decent lager and purity beers in bottles. We went Saturday night to see spilt milk, had 4 bands on and amazingly none of them were bad. Will defo be going back!

Great, intimate venue with friendly staff and not too expensive bar prices. Decor is basic and some might find the cellar room claustrophobic. However, very powerful aircon keeps the air fresh and the temperature down. We saw The Travelling Band who ought to be playing much bigger venues. It was an awesome night!

Was surprised at how small this little hidden gem was. We went to see Casey McQuillen on the last night of her tour. It was friendly, felt safe and was a really fun and cosy venue to see emerging artists perform. Drinks were priced well but standing up all night was tough on my back but didn’t spoil the night for me.

Visited this venue to see Casey McQuillen. A very intimate venue but really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit even if it's just for a drink.

Went to a gig here, and found myself doing it with a crutch, shortly after knee surgery. No way to get around the stairs, of course - but the staff were all incredibly helpful and understanding, and made it possible for me to still enjoy the event. Absolute stars. Great gig venue, too.

Friendly staff make for a lovely experience at The Sunflower lounge Visited here to see a band in the basement room and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff are lovely and allowed us to try a beer to see if we liked it Prices are average for city centre with a good choice of beer. Will definitely visit again

Fantastic small music venue and bar. One of the venues on The Decoy and Freeze The Atlantic tour. Great sound engineer! Good wide choice of drinks available.

Good venue with friendly staff. A little small for a music venue but they make excellent use of the space they have. Great bookings and a great night out!

Flies attacked me. Lost an eye. Sound engineer (Alice) punched a kid. Lovely staff though my favourite place in Brum by far xoxo

Great little place. Saw fantastic band 'The Avion' downstairs. Shame about the bouncer who stood by the stage glaring at those dancing as if having fun isn't allowed! But it's great there's still a place to see young bands in Brum.

I’ve been going to sunflower lounge for quite a while now, and I can certainly say and shut down some bad reviews by saying the drinks are good tasting and the staff are lovely! They’ve never been anything but understanding, patient and caring when it comes to the customers wants / needs… If you do not like the taste of the drink, and Guiness isn’t a good choice anyway, don’t order the drink, or order another one. Unless the barrel is nearly empty or other sorts, you’re not going to get your own way because you decided you don’t like a certain alcohol. Lovely place, feel free to come down for good prices and nice variation of drinks! Never ever had an issue here

It's a small quaint music venue that feels very homey. Although some of the staff upon my arrival to the bar area (upstairs) were not paying a lot of attention to customers, they were otherwise friendly. Prices were not as extortionate as other places for it's location.
