The Shakespeare - Birmingham - Photo album

The Shakespeare is a great spot for locals and visitors! The staff are friendly and service is fast. With it being directly next to Birmingham New Street station it is perfect for a quick drink or snack. As we came for a quick drop off I grabbed a nice pint of Amstel and also some bar snacks. We o
Great location and ambient with that classic english pub look. Great and helpful staff and a nice menu with all sorts of options. The food is great, plates are big and made with very good ingredients. The price is not cheap but worth the cost of it. For me, it's one of the best pubs in Birmingham
Received a warm welcome from Emily who looked after us admirably. We both had a sandwich and salad combo - my triple club sandwich had chicken, bacon, mayo and salad - and was so big I couldn't finish all the toasted bread. Many thanks Emily for the great service. Chris
The service that we were given from the bar staff was exemplary. From being found a table for two, then being told that another table was free, that may be better for us and it was as we had more room. Checking what food was available as we were at the end of the lunch time period. They checked on
Came here for lunch today. Lovely staff very kind. Food was great. Lovely atmosphere will definitely come again. Thank you all. 😊
Great spot with excellent selection of beer! Fairly priced and great atmosphere.
Just popped in for a quick pint, very hand for the train station.
Such a fantastic place to meet up with freinds or work colleagues Great choice of drinks at the bar plus Lovely tasty food menu It has it all Professional staff in a comfortable setting You will like what it has to offer Great pub
Proper pub! I love it in here, its comfortable and has a great atmosphere, bar staff know what they are doing, plus it has lots of passing trade so has a traditional feel. Also do the most amazing nachos 😋😍
Lovely stop off for a quick bite to eat before heading on to a show. Ordered the large nachos, plenty for 2 people. Washed down with a couple pints of fantastic Guinness. Highly recommend if looking for somewhere near New Street to drink/meet.
Quick stop off on the way home last night. Busier than usual for a Thursday, but good to see. Had a great pint of Shropshire Gold. Didn’t order any food this time, but I will be back. Keep up the good work!
Great little pub. Got those “old school” vibes 👌🏻 decent Guinness and very decent food: the runny scotch eggs were class. Fish finger sandwich was tasty too. Definitely stopping by again!
Came in on Thursday night before my train home, cracking traditional pub. Fish and chips were lovely with a well kept pint of Dark Star Red Giant. Andrew and Jodie on the bar were amazing, will have to return and try again.
Had a lovely time at this great traditional pub whilst we were visiting- had probably the best Guinness I’ve had In a long old time, as well as a delicious burger and fish and chips, all on the recommendation of the staff, who were very knowledgeable and friendly! Definitely will be back, definitely
Excellent Guinness and a good selection of ales too!! One of my favourite places to stop at when heading to/from New Street Station. Staff are knowledgable on the products on offer and always serve with a smile. Could do with some better TVs/AV equipment for the upcoming 6 Nations, it would make it
Lovely lunch..very helpful staff. The bouncer even helped me find a table. Andrew from the bar went out of his way to be helpful to us.
