Eat here often, food is fresh and tastes great with generous portions.Chicken tikka masala and mixed grill with garlic nan is our favourite. Nothing is too much trouble and food is continually a good standard. Love the pager that vibrates when your food is ready
I am a vegetarian I love there food love the way they make there paneer, I highly recommend it, they need to sort out the sitting arrangements and need more staff.
Best place to eat especially chilli chicken was a big favourite of ours. Thank you for the quick service and will be coming here again more often.

Simply the best and almost a second home lol
This used to be a small pub and has been extended and is now a decent restopub.
There are plenty of Indians eating which is always a good sign in an Indian place.
The ordering system is good and the food can be modified to taste if needed.
The tables could be cleaned better but it isn't that bad.
The drinks are a reasonable price too and the beer is well kept.
Overall pretty good
You wont get better than the Groves amazing food. Fantastic service and very filling. I would recomend this place to anyone in the area or passing by
I have been there quite a few times now as I stay in near by Hamstead Campus. It is worth going for. I love spending time in there and eating some delicacys while watching the telly.
Food was beautiful best curry I've ever eaten (Lamb special rogan Ghost) Staff friendly. Portion sizes are huge! I will definitely return and it's Quite busy which is always a good sign. Would be nice to have a option for smaller rice portion sizes as in my group we wasted alot of the rice which I hate waste! Mixed grill was huge we had the 15pound one and we couldn't finish it. Only down side is the Toilets they were disgusting 🤢, that was the only let down.
What a place! A nice, clean, friendly pub with big screens showing sport and a good selection of drinks. And then the food... absolutely top-tier currys! The mixed grill is a fantastic portion and incredibly tasty too. Overall, this place was a brilliant, relaxed evening. We will definitely be coming back.

Really lovely food! I had a Regular Mixed Grill and a Peshawari naan bread. It was HUGE! I enjoyed it and even took loads of it home!
I loved the food at the Grove Pub, Handsworth, Birmingham UK. We ordered the sampler grill platter. Everything was delicious. This place is a family favourite. It was very busy as usual and even though we had a large party the server seated us quickly, we didn't have a long wait.
Great experience I wish I could go again.
This is a great pub with great food and a good selection of meals/currys to choose from. The lamb curry was simply perfect, done properly and with the right balance of spices and flavours. The fish pakora is the best I've tasted in any pub so far. The service is decent and the atmosphere is of a typical pub with lots of screens. Keep in mind that the food will all be prepared together so once they call you to collect your food you'll have all of it (starters and main course) in one go, so if you want to take it slow, just let them know in advance.
Without doubt the best curry house in the Midlands. I happy travel back here every time and cannot recommend the mixed grill enough. Superb.
Came here when they first opened. Food was great.
Came back after the rebfurb it's actually so much better. The food is still good as ever. The atmosphere is bang on.
It has a real community vibe.
Only issue is the pool room's TV is a little loud 😂
My favourite mixed grill place in Bham. There's an extensive number of vegetarian (soya, paneer etc.) things so pretty much everyone will find something lovely to eat.

First time visiting here for food with friends, and I was not disappointed! Food portions were generous, served hot and full of flavour.
Atmosphere was chilled and laid back. Full of people from all walks of the community.

The barbeque chicken and lamb is absolutely juicy and fragrant!!! Briyani rice is strongly flavoured and heavily-spiced.

Always enjoy my food here. We had a chicken korma with fried rice & cheesy naan as well as the groves special mixed grill & chips.
Great food, reasonable prices, great atmosphere, helpful, friendly staff.
Beautiful food and plenty of it for the price. Reasonable drinks and a great atmosphere. Pool table and plenty of TVs. I always come here when I’m in town!
Eaten in and had take-aways for years here. Always tasty food. The mixed grill is great, plentiful and good value. But the curries are now £10 for a container take-away and expensive.
Just a point, the chef that served me had handled food on a previous order, used the till and then took cash for my order - no hands-washing in between.
