Great pub. They did 2 cocktails for the price of one. We brought our coworkers and clients there for drinks. We enjoyed the ambiance of a real English pub. It’s close to the canal too. I would t necessarily go for dinner, but for drinks it’s perfect.
Great food a bit more pricey than we were expecting and the staff were very friendly.
Only thing I disagree with now is adding 10% service charge/Tip onto the bill before hand.
Service was very fast, had the best pint of Guinness I’ve ever tasted and the kitchen makes the most tender chicken wings. 100% recommend Sundays are amazing. Thanks you to the chefs and bartenders
Lovely pub overlooking canals , fab food comfy and clean seats
Popped here for a pint. The place was spotless. Good service. Sat outside, good vibes 👌
Not your average brass house.
Maybe brass house means something different in Birmingham, because when I got off at New St station and jumped in a taxi asking to be taken to the nearest brass house this was the place that they dropped me off. It wasn't what I was expecting but they still offered me a good time. Wasn't as intimate as I was hoping for but the hostesses made sure my 50 quid budget was well spent and I was not embarrassed to walk out the doors onto a busy street afterwards.
Be warned however, It does say "brass house" on your credit card statement which did take some explaining.
Arrived in town late in the evening, looking for dinner and having trouble finding somewhere that wasn't closing soon. Great selection on the food menu, came out promptly, steak was cooked perfectly. Paul and Jade were very attentive and helpful, will definitely pop back in if I'm the area for business again!
The food portion was very small especially the chips I had a pudding and was still hungry after
Enjoy visiting every time I'm in Birmingham, with the new refub it's looking flasher than ever really drawing from the vibes of industrial Birmingham. Great drinks and food options & deals throughout the week, it's a lot nicer than most of the venues around and the team are fantastic!
Good food, quick service from friendly staff, brilliant to watch sport with the screens around the place. Being right on the canal is a huge bonus on a sunny day. Love it 👏🏻
Called in for an evening drink and then returned the next morning for an English breakfast. On both occasions service was excellent. They have a reasonable range of drinks. On Sunday morning we were looking for breakfast and decided to eat here. The full English breakfast without eggs was my choice and my wife had scrambled egg on toast. Both meals were quickly prepared and served. They were hot and tasty and good value for money for a city centre pub. The only mistake I made was not to spot black pudding on the menu which I would have avoided if I had realised. Tea was plentiful and the young lady that served us was happy to top up the pot when requested. Both meals were nice and the experience was only spoiled by watching England cricket team collapse to another T20 defeat by a far superior Bangladesh team but that is not the pubs fault. Well worth a visit anytime. Do not be put off by the unfortunate sign letter omission on the canal side of the pub which I’m sure they will fix in the future.
Great pub with live music. Had the full English breakfast w/beer, what more can you ask for?
Definitely recommended!
Came here today, lovely all ate afternoon/evening stop with drinks but found some customers to be quite rude telling me to wipe my daughters nose despite he was begging for change, this place is lovely. Husband said staff who served him had a face on them. Toilets are clean/baby changing facility is clean. Nice location by the canal. Drinks weren’t badly priced though and did drinks for my daughters (3 & 8) never tried the food maybe next time.
Very quiet when I went in early noon. It is a nice looking pub and very clean , prices put me off and by the looks of it others were put off by the same thing as the other pubs we went in where busier.
