Great service, from booking through to paying the bill. Had duck pancakes for starters. They came in generous portions and the duck tasted amazing. Dim sum too was delicious and the main course of hot & spicy squid and sweet & sour chicken was one of the best Cantonese meals I've had to date. Everything super fresh and crunchy veg. Not over greasy either. Good selection of alcoholic drinks and cocktails too. Will definitely be coming here again! Recommended.

Absolutely fantastic variety of food. When ours came out they were well presented and nice n hot. The cocktails well impressed me and mom. So much choice. Waitresses were on point. Always checking on you. Second time dining there. Not disappointed. Definitely going back and would recommend.

Absolutely deserved the title "Restaurant of the Year in Birmingham"! Can't have enough food here! First class environment with sophisticated design of Chinese arts and outstanding service that makes you feel like you are eating at your own place. The music is another highlight which in itself deserves a visit. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in Birmingham who wants some best Chinese food and the best hospitality.

Chung Ying is a mix of a restaurant and a bar. Contemporary setting with both a great food menu and a great cocktail menu. Good atmosphere and when eating it doesn't feel as if a rowdy bar has taken over and when there to drink it doesn't feel like a stuffy formal restaurant, so a good mix. We went for a drink on the Friday as part of the Birmingham Cocktail Weekend and were actually looking to eat there so were really disappointed to find that they'd booked a large function; surely they must have known the trade from the Cocktail Weekend would make them busier anyway so that was disappointing. Returned the next day though to tick the venue off the list and were not disappointed with the drink which was delicious and seeing people around us having items off a special weekend dim sum menu whetted the appetite so we had an item off there as well which was very tasty. Good fast service.

A really nice food house at the top end of Colmore street. Staff were attentive and the dishes on offer both good to look at and to taste to.

Possibly my favorite of the Chung Ying family businesses. They serve authentic Chinese cuisine and have a great Dim sum selection at each of their restaurants. Chung Ying central also serve some super nice cocktails. I can not recommend the crispy roast pork belly highly enough, it's well worth a visit.

Been twice since it opened once with work, once with friends. The food was very good, excellent portion sizes and reasonably priced. There were a few teething problems with the service, but given that it has only been open a couple of weeks I don't think that will be a problem for long. Looking forward to my next visit! *edit* I've now been 4 times food is always good! I wouldn't hesitate to go back

Looking for a Chinese restaurant in Birmingham! Look no further! This restaurant was recommended by a colleague and it wasn't a disappointment. We went there as a group on a Saturday night without prior notice. We didn't have to wait for long before being sited. Moving the table around to our requirements wasn't a problem. The device was excellent. The food was superb!

My first visit here and I wasn't disappointed. Quickly seated and served by friendly staff. You get a good portion and we had the dim sum served with the main. Really nicely presented and tasty food. I had the number 69 fried lamb in hot spicy source and my wife had number 82 fried fillet of beef in ginger and spring onion. The have draft lager and plenty of cocktails, including a 'year of the... cocktail', so you can choose a cocktail based on the year you were born and the Chinese new year. Its priced fairly too, certainly not expensive. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent restaurant, fantastic service an delicious food. This has been my favourite place for over 2 yrs since i discovered it. They have an excellent lunch menu and i particularly like the 2for 1 cocktails after 4pm and they are unusual ones not the run of the mill cocktails.

Exceptional service - all of the team, from the door host to bar tender and more were very attentive and friendly yet professional. The bar tender was well knowledged in the beverages and liqueurs and the food was the best Chinese I've ever had. The food came fast, was hot, really tasty and looked just as delicious as it tasted. James and his team have perked this rabbit right up. If you haven't been, you need to!
