Nestled right in the center of the Chinese quarter it was a very convenient location . We had the all you can eat buffet.. it included almost everything on the menu except for drinks n some sides. They have a pretty long and exhaustive menu catering to people of all tastes. We tasted nearly everything on the menu and they were spot on ! Very fresh tasting and freshly prepared . Loved the whole experience .will definitely be back when back in Birmingham

Kyoto is one of my favourite restaurants in Birmingham. It has a great all-you-can-eat selection, the quality is significantly higher than most other AYCE restaurants in the region.

This is a great place to have good sushi and their buffet menu allows you to have an “all you can eat” experience at a fixed cost. We went on a weekday dinner but still booked in advance (just called them) as they're often quite busy. There is a limit of 2.5 hours for ordering food which is long enough to allow tasting of almost all of their dishes included in the buffet menu. This menu also contains a decent variety of desserts. The great thing about this menu is that all the dishes have photos against them to help you guide visually as well. There is a good variety of drinks, which is separate from the buffet menu. The service is good and fast and the staff takes good care of you by explaining how the buffet menu works and how to place the orders. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for an all you can eat sushi experience as it is good value for money.

Absolutely Phenomenal. And we genuinely ate all of this! Just the two of us. Food is genuinely stunning. Our new favourite restaurant. Sushi is sublime. The food cooked to order is wonderful. Service was cheerful, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. We had an exceptional time and cannot wait to come back.

We had the "buffet" option which is prepared fresh to order, brought to the table & tasted amazing. We all ate a substantial amount and I would definitely say it is value for money, even just for the amount of sushi we ate. Even more so with the fact we had hot food as well. Staff were friendly & explained how it all worked with ordering. The restaurant was clean & tidy. Would highly recommend if you're a fan of sushi or Japanese cuisine.

Absolutely beautiful here, we loved it so much. The layout, atmosphere, the service, food and staff was so amazing. We loved our visit so much. we got the all you can eat menu and used there order cards, they explained how they worked which was nice and actually quite clever. you can get 4 rounds which is definitely enough with how filling the food was. the menus was really easy to navigate and to order . the food layout and presentation was top quality and looked really professional. the atmosphere alone was quite impressive with the feel of culture and the beautiful tree with hanging cherry blossoms.

Sadly Kyoto gone downhill since the last time i been here. Food still decent and quick service. I only had the buffet style menu. Very simple to order. You have a paper with a list of the menu, mark how many you want (10 items for 4 people(be more if more people or less with less people)) give it to the waiter and repeat the process untill you full. Bare in mind now to over order as they will charge waste and its good manners not to waste. Still a great buffet shish style restaurant.

Went here for a family birthday celebration. Really enjoyed it. We all went for the buffet option. You have up to 4 rounds of food, choosing 2 dishes per person per round. There was no feeling of being rushed. The pricing for kids is unusual, but okay, £1.50 per year of their age. Large choice of dishes, and so many varied dishes from soups, sushi, sashimi, salads, fried, grilled dishes, desserts and more. I think I was close to bursting. There was maybe one or two dishes that weren't to my personal taste, but the vast majority were delightful. Some dishes were easier to share than others. I particularly enjoyed the panko calamari and tempura shrimp, the karaage salmon, chicken gyoza, yakitori chicken and Korean chicken. We also really enjoyed the sushi options. There are plenty of veg choices too. The mikkusu mushrooms stood out as they were surprisingly very tasty. You have a choice of a few sides like edamame beans, fried rice , chips ,pickles etc included in buffet. The last round was dessert where we made space for ice-cream. Would come back again.

Fantastic place! You have a card where you can order 2 dishes each but you can order as many rounds as long as you eat them. This is a great idea and stops food wastage !!! The food was so flavoured and I will definitely be coming again !!!!! Fantastic with a spoons next door

I came on the weekend with my friend, and we had the “shared dining lunch special”, that’s available from 12:00 - 16:00. We had the option to choose from 4 dishes + 1 side dish (£18.50) or 6 dishes + 2 side dish (£24.50) per person. After looking at the menu, we went for the 6 dishes and 2 sides because there was so many options we wanted to try! For the sides we went for Edamame, Pickled Cucumbers, Fried Rice and a Korean Purple Rice. Which came out first so we ate it as a starter. We ventured out for Karaage Salmon, from the deep fried section and Beef Bulgogi from the grilled section. Which was so delicious and ate it along with our sides. We both went for the ramen soup bowl. As we were tucked into our food, the sushi came which we completely forgot about! So we felt a bit pressured to finish our dishes as the server wanted to put it all on one table. But luckily one of the staff got a table and put it next to us. We had a variety of sushi as it was my friends first time trying sushi, so we got the nigiri classic, deluxe salmon duo (which was our favourite), spicy urumaki roll, crunchy combo, deluxed flamed duo, luxury set, lastly the tuna and salmon set. Unfortunately, we got too full to finish and so it felt like we were forcing ourselves. Really appreciate the staff for checking up on us and providing a take out box. As I know it was impossible to provide. There was a 10% service charge applied to the bill and we had the refillable green tea, ice tea and a lychee drink. Overall, there was a lot of tasty options but it was a lot! But knowing now we would definitely come again and definitely recommend!

I have wanted to come back to Kyoto for years and managed to find time to come! The 'buffet' on Saturday and Sunday may look expensive but if you are planning to have more than 6 dishes - it makes sense! The food is made pretty quickly and the quality is excellent (we only had one note on the chicken which was dry). I really enjoyed the udon noodles, the sushi and banana fritters!
