China Town Noodle Bar. Loved it. Huge menu and reasonably priced. Lots of Chinese people eating there which I considered a good sign. I tried pigs stomach, tofu and pickled mustard green soup followed by the best squid in chili and salt ever! You needrnt be that adventurous if you don't want as they do plent of mainstream stuff too.

It's definitely going to be a regular haunt for me.

This cheap as chips cafe has been a favourite haunt for Birmingham's many students for more than a decade. Ten years ago, I was one of them. But it's more than just a cut-price feeding station for those rich in time but poor in money. With a voluminous menu spanning several regions of China, as well as a handful of other Asian cuisines (not recommended), there's a reason it also attracts well-heeled shoppers and Chinese customers of all ages. And with most dishes coming in well shy of a tenner, it has long been one of my favourite places for lunch. Yet somehow life has come between me and my first neighbourhood-restaurant-love. Last weekend, after an absence of nearly five years, I returned to rekindle my affair with their Big Plate Rice.

Anytime I travel up to Birmingham this is where I always come to eat as it offers a good take-away service or eat in options. When I get my meal to go I am happy as the portions you get are great for the price you pay. The prices are good as well compared to other places who are £1-£2 dearer. Mum and daughter were always so friendly & accommodating to my fuzzy questions & needs. I went up to Birmingham for a overnight stay in December & was saddened to hear that the family have decided to close the restaurant for good. I was told when I come up I February they would no longer be there. So coming back up yesterday, it got to my usual time & got hungry, so I walked round hoping they would be open but unfortunately it was completely closed with newspaper all over the windows. It's the end of an era. But I wish them all the luck in the world.

This is the place to go if you just wanna have a quick lunch or dinner. Ordered ShanDong lamb noodle, really big portion by the look of it but mainly covered in soup, the actual amount of food was okay. Nice service and everything was served really quick.

Nice noodle bar. I had the spiciest “Level 18” noodle dish, wow pretty spicy lol! Really nice flavour, the chilli takes a little while to kick in but when it does it certainly slap you in the face! Really good! As for the rest of the dishes I felt they were pretty good but not as authentic as other Chinese restaurants I have been to in Oxford. Nice place to go if you want spicy noodles!

Tasty roasted duck, well cooked and rich in rice. The location might be better but absolutely I will come back to taste other chinese specialities.

One of the most popular noodle bars in Chinese district. Authentic cuisine and staff. Huge portion of noodle soup. There are some other less crowed, same quality and more inexpensive noodle bars nearby.

Delicious food and friendly service, very cheap for the quality and amount. Try the satay duck and the steamed pork buns.

Very nice staff, but you have to know what you're buying. Big plates. I would recommend to try Tom yum soup.

Friendly warm welcome by staff. Food doesn’t take long, fresh hot food. Love the roast pork and the dim sum. The barbecue pork buns are so good. Generous portions which I can never finish! However the owner boxes up my left overs so no waste and fabulous service.

I stayed in Birmingham for three years. It was one of my favorite restaurants in town, they provided the best Hong Kong-style milk tea and spicy noodle. Although the owner closed the restaurant in 2019, I still want to leave a comment here.

Have been coming here on and off for 14 years and it is still the best restaurant in China town. It is not the fanciest restaurant in the area but the food is certainly the best. The staff are extremely friendly, open to requests and always look after their customers even during busy periods. The food is authentic and extremely tasty. I Would strongly recommend the honey and chilli king prawns or the beef brisket in noodle soup or not in noodle soup or the triple roasts or in fact pretty much anything on the menu. The dim sum sharers are also amazing. Ultimately if you are looking for genuinely, authentic Cantonese food give this restaurant a try. I honestly cannot understand the bad reviews on here for the life of me as I have seriously been coming here for absolutely years and the quality of the food and service is outstanding. As far as I know the noodle bar was also the first place in Birmingham to serve pearl/bubble teas.

This place is honestly the best Chinese restaurant/takeaway I have been to, I don't live in birmimgham but when I visit I have to come here for food there is no place like this in Leicester. Me and my girlfriend have eaten for here a number of times and the quality of food is excellent!! Everything has its own individual taste and flavour and the portions are brilliant. We ordered our food yesterday over the phone for a take away and I forgot to give my name just gave the time I was going to pick up the food, once I got there the lady knew who I was just by the time and we had a convocation we had over the phone and she even walked me to the door. This honestly is such a welcoming place and the people here are so welcoming and kind. The food is great if I lived in Birmingham no doubt I'd be eating here 3 times a week. Thank you for the best food and welcoming personalities 😄😄😄
