This is a review on the new Leicester restaurant. This restaurant is outstanding. From start to finish it was amazing.
The food was incredible. I can definitely recommend the butter chicken & any lamb dishes. The staff are so tentative & very knowledgeable. Make you feel very welcome & work super hard to make sure you have a great evening. I recommend the Lucky Buddha beer. Also the cocktails are really good. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food & service 👌
Atmosphere, Ambiance and interior was just amazing. Ever since Johnny Depp visited this restaurant in Birmingham i wanted to visit too. food was good. As a vegetarian i can say there were many options to choose. Authentic indian food beautifully garnished with balanced spices was treat for both eyes and taste buds 😋
This is a Birmingham treasure beyond measure. Everything, from the decor to the culinary presentation, is meant to wow and astonish you. Exquisite food and service that truly wows. One of my favourite eateries right now is this one. It merely provides an opulent experience for you. Top marks for the cuisine, service, and décor! Those from Birmingham and other cities are strongly encouraged to visit and dine here. We were based in Leicester. Many thanks for everything, Varanasi! Wonderful!

The best Indian dining experience I’ve ever had. What a STUNNING restaurant! The decor is just beautiful. The service was absolutely fantastic. The food was fresh and tasty. I cannot wait to return and bring friends! Thanks so much to Ali for an unforgettable evening! And Ray too who gave us such a warm welcome. I can’t recommend this place enough!
We had an amazing experience over here, the atmosphere, the staff, the service, and specifically the food. OMG!! it reminded us of India tbh. Plus It was my birthday, and the staff surprised me with a small cake and wishes. Overall it's a must visit.
Design, Ambience is top notch, almost felt out of this world, service was attentive and professional, food was good but not of same high standard as I had expected. Don't get me wrong, it was nice, much better than those Anglo-Bangla fake Indian restaurants but at this price point one expects perfection, full marks to presentation but taste could have been more authentic and last but not least quantity/portion sizes also were less than expected.

This place screams elegance with its classy decor and comfy seats. The food was fantastic and halal too which catered to a member of our party.
We booked this restaurant last minute being absolutely starving having travelled from London that day and completely unexpectedly found ourselves in this lovely restaurant. We were underdressed but thankfully still seated and we received wonderful service.
So let me tell you about the real MVP of Varanasi – our waiter! Mijan (I hope I've remembered this correctly) was having his FIRST day at the restaurant. This is not to say he probably hadn't been a great waiter elsewhere before (in which case, great hire). He delivered SUCH impeccable service. Need your phone charged? No problem. Not feeling your drink? Boom, let's see what we can do. Question about the menu? I'll find that out for you. These sound like basic things but it's the way he conducted himself. He was SO personable during all of our interactions. Having such a likeable waiter really elevates the experience. We made sure to speak to the manager at the end (an East Londoner) who was lovely and grateful for the feedback.
If I'm ever in Birmingham again, I'll be taking whoever is with me to this restaurant (and I'll be showing up better dressed!).
This place has just raised the bar in my estimation and if I could give 10 points I would. The place. The service. The food. The staff. Everything about this place is an experience. Fantastic. Fantastic. Fantastic. If you like Indian fine dining then you’re missing out if you don’t go here.
It was my birthday yesterday and the way Varanasi took care of me and my guests truly made my day special! Special shout out to Shivraj who was right there for us taking care of our every little requests. He made sure everything was spot on and we were enjoying our experience there.
