I went this pub the other day with my college friends. It has a very nice view out of the windows but the only negative point is that there is only one ladies rest room when you have a pub full of folk!!! The food there was good and the service was also fast and friendly. But all in all, totally enjoyed our meal in there and will definitely go again.
Stopped here on a walk for a quick snack. We had a brownie and sticky toffee pudding. I've actually never had a sticky toffee pudding with custard and I actually quite enjoyed it. It wasn't very sweet which I appreciated as well. Service was friendly and attentive. Would come back.
The service, food and atmosphere were amazing. Barman was welcoming and attentive and made the day special as it was my sister’s birthday treat. Best pub restaurant I’ve been in. Old worldly vide with plenty of history. I definitely would recommend….
Thank you for making our first experience memorable ❤️😌👍🏾
A traditional pub along the canal with some very good value food. The food was very tasty and served relatively quickly. A nice place to eat in a lovely area of Birmingham. The puddings had a few vegan ice cream options.
Nice pub with well kept real ales and good food. The barman was friendly and efficient.
I would have liked to have known more about the building which has obviously got a lot of history.
Only 4 stars for atmosphere but you wouldn't expect it to be buzzing on a wet Thursday afternoon.
A really friendly pub with a fabulous range of local real ales. Staff are extremely helpful and really know their beers. There's praise starting by the canal, it is a perfect oasis. If you like real ale and find yourself in Birmingham, you have to go.
We pop in when we're in the area for a pint or two and the beers are fantastic. A great selection and very well kept. The staff are really friendly and it's lovely to sit and watch the world go by along the canal outside 😊🍻
Gerne wieder!

Great pub in Birmingham right on the canal!
We wanted to go to another pub first,
But since it was too full, we decided on this one.
The furnishings are a bit older, but still have style and look very comfortable and good!
When we were there we ordered something to eat and drink, but it was a bit difficult because the bartender spoke very quietly.
We had a chicken burger with typical English bacon and cheese and fries and my friend had fish and chips!
My meal was very good, but in my opinion I had a bit few fries, but that's not a bad thing! The service was still very nice even though she spoke so quietly!
Price-wise it was a bit more expensive, but still somewhat reasonable!
Gladly again!
We happened upon Tap & Spile and I am so glad we did! Cosy but roomy, loads of seating, wonderful staff and views of the canal. Outside seating if you like. The food was also lovely, we had a selection of small plates. Absolutely recommend!
Loved this place, sitting outside by the side of the canal was really lovely. We went back later for our food. As always in these places, it was really good, tasty hot, and filling. Can't wait to visit again
Lovely little pub with restaurant down stairs. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Beautiful view out of window in the restaurant. Door downstairs leads to the canal where if you follow the path it will lead you to arena Birmingham. Canal boat rides available also. Will visit again. Good for price too.
Great pub, lots of drink options, recommend for a few cheeky beers!
Awesome time spent in and sat outside this delightful, old world pub. The interior is gorgeous and meanders between two floors and boasts original features. Cool artwork and sat along canal watching life go by is very entertaining on a Saturday tea time. Highly recommended
This is a great pub and lovely spot on the canal. The ale is fantastic, so for all the CAMRA fanatics, a great stop. The food is also damn good, as well as the hospitality and service. A very friendly welcoming pub. I always come back, whenever visiting Birmingham. Love this place. ❤️
In March Tap & Spile was a lovely low key hideaway along the canals. I stopped to photograph the view at dusk. I was able to sit outside at a table which I was told were impossible to get during spring & summer. Meet locals who bought me wine, we had dinner, and chitchatted about life. Fantastic experience.
Have visited this place a couple of times, during the day, for food and drink.
The food has been lovely on both occasions and is reasonably priced. Furthermore, the service provided by staff has been attentive and welcoming.
I find it to be a pleasant, relaxing place where you can enjoy time with family and friends.
One star deducted as on both occasions the ladies toilets appeared to need a good clean and smartening up a little.
I look forward to returning in the summer and sitting by the canal whilst enjoying food, drinks and the company of others.
Great food for a good price. Great customer service in a pub on the canal in Birmingham
I would be very happy to go back
I had the Gammon stake which was great
Good selection of beers as well
Great value good quality food with a nice decor and friendly service let down by the number of fruit flies in the pub unfortunately.
