Stopped for an impromptu lunch after a walk. We had the burger and sea bass for mains and sticky toffee pudding and brownie for dessert. Mains were ok, the seabass was cooked decent although I would have preferred the skin to be crispy. The scallops were overcooked and the risotto just slightly undercooked. The sticky toffee pudding was great albeit very sweet and decent portions. Plenty of space and dog friendly in the bar area.

A lovely pub. It has a sizeable garden at the back with seating and extra free parking. I had the seafood dish with salmon, prawns, potatoes and veg which was delicious and filling. The toilets are at the back of the pub, and we're clean. The staff were friendly. I would recommend this place.

Great food as usual. Really great service by Callum, Lisa and Teresa (always exceptional service) . Pork belly was on point and really attentive. Always accommodate children really well which is a massive plus. Great ambience and vibe in here and great garden space for spring/summer. If you happen to be around Hagley Road/ Birmingham city centre it’s worth the trip here. I’ve eaten at other Chef and Brewer establishments and this is surely the best one. Keep up the great work

I've never been to the Garden House before, so I wasn't quite sure where to park. There is a road at the side of the pub that leads to back, so don't worry about parking. There's plenty of space available. Food was tasty, just a little mix-up on my mushrooms, but they quickly fixed the issue! Thank you 😊

First time visit to the Garden House this afternoon around 2pm and just had a pint of Birra Moretti while passing by. Found this to be a very warm welcoming place, the background music was just right, lighting not too bright / not too dark and temperature perfect. A calm chilled atmosphere! Seems to be a popular pub / restaurant amongst the older people, but also the younger ones too to have a meal - which noticed orders happily taken from the table to save waiting at the bar. There were a lot of people who looked like were enjoying their meals - all of which looked very tasty! Outside there is a good amount of parking, along with bus stops on both sides of the road in and out of central Birmingham so very well located. Staff - The guy who served me was very helpful, came straight over to the bar when came up, and helped me with using my voucher code towards the drink with no problems at all. Done with a smile and a friendly chat which was much appreciated :) I have only one point to note on improvement, the toilets were clean. But, were quite dark and did not smell as fresh as could be. I'd suggest maybe the air freshener has run out and there being an issue with the some of the lights not being on that could be looked at. There is a good amount of promotional display to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support around the bar - this is a great cause to note and hope you raise lots for the cause. Conclusion: I'd happily return again, and probably for an evening meal too. Thank you for the nice visit.

Had a lovely evening meal on a Saturday, really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Theresa who looked after us is a shining example of fantastic customer service. So friendly , down to earth but professional with it. First visit here and won't be the last when in Brum. Thank you.

Reunion with my dear Malasian friend. ♡ We had a delicious lunch with a good wine choice & coffee. We both enjoyed. We have been coming here for over 15 years, & never been disappointed with the meal nor drinks. Thanks Theresa for wonderful service with a smile as always. Xxx

Went for my daughter’s birthday, 6 of us and a little one, the service was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The manager Callum was brilliant helping us to organise balloons and a cake, and Theresa whose service was excellent. Food was delicious and fresh. A lovely, welcoming pub will definitely be visiting again.
