I and my husband eat and made a night out of it. It's ok but more choices would be nice. I got chicken wing and my hubby got some aubergine paste which my hubby liked served with naan which was okay but the portion could have be more. I did enjoy the tea with baklava. The service was ok. You will see from pick what we had. More could be done to offer enhanced. More portion than stangy one.
Look at that lamb! Perfect rice and absolutely best naan ever. Very nice and good meal in that cozy restaurant with true persian atmosphere. Not posh, just nice local restaurant with authentic food. Worth visiting!
Alhamdulillah , had a very pleasant meal and iftar here this year in the month of Ramadan.
We always go out every Ramadan atleast one day and this year we had a friend join us and also a very big surprise from my cousins from Surrey who found out our plans very cleverly.
We arrived around 45minutes before time to break our fast and ordered our food with plenty of time. We ordered various kebabs and my wife thought she’d tried a lamb shank which neither of us have ever tried. At this point there was 12 of us and then our cousins shocked us (5 of them including our new sister in law) with 10 minutes to go before sunset. They had to order their food very quickly and we also ordered a range of mocktails.
Once the food arrived - it looked very appetising. And so it was , the taste was pleasing but slightly similar to other Arab food. The mocktails could have been better for the price but still good. My wife enjoy the shank and everyone else who tried it also enjoyed.
‘‘Twas a most pleasing evening and Iftar.
Absolutely fantastic food, freshly cooked, hot and delicious, the spices and seasoning on the lamb and chicken were wonderful and the rice was fluffy, the naan bread was hot and fresh too.
It's very reasonably priced, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 soft drinks baclava and a pot of tea for £30.
will be going back again when we are in the area next
Definitely one of the bests Persian restaurants in Birmingham. Calm environment, brilliant food and hot fresh bread. The staff are welcoming. Highly recommended.
The food here is lovely and freshly made. The staff are very friendly. I have been here twice this year and would definitely be going back.
Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff what more can you ask for on a bleak Monday evening
Really nice meal, lovely service and a generally nice time had by Me and the Wife
This is a Persian restaurant with a small capacity of around maybe no more than 30. I ordered a mixed lamb and chicken grilled which came with rice and an extra side of fries. Food was excellently cooked, healthy and although simple, tasted good. The portions received were large and my friends & I were stuffed by the time we had finished. The food was reasonably priced (potentially in the range of very good value for money). I don't see myself visiting again but I definitely enjoyed my visit. The service was very good.
Amazing place and amazing food. Went today with my family. I always go here and the atmosphere, the food and the staff are top quality and always delivery a 1st class service. Thank you. They value there customers and always remember us when we go. Thank you.
We went there yesterday - it was Saturday evening. The food and atmosphere were very good, as they were not too busy, however to our surprise they did not have oranges for the fresh orange juice on their menu. When requested lemon for the salad, they also said they run out. On the positive side, their chenje / lamb shish kebab was to die for and the rice was also very fragrant and tasty.
On my friend recommendation. Me and my friend went all the way to Birmingham to try this restaurant and believe me friends, it's more than worth it. The staff was so friendly and tell me about the food, heavenly delicious. Warm atmosphere and perfect for family get together. I would recommend this place to all food lovers
A lovely place, food was brilliant and staff were amazing and helpful. Totally recommend this place, it is definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to and has been a lovely experience. Make sure you go to Saba, don’t miss out on this amazing experience, you will regret it if you do.
The best Persian restaurant in Birmingham. The food here is brilliant! This place has a nice and quiet atmosphere and is perfect for families. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to ensure you have the best possible experience.
Great food and excellent service. The place was quiet so we were well looked after and really enjoyed our meal. The place is simple and clean. It had a nice atmosphere.
Positives first: a very welcoming reception. Our waiter was very knowledgeable regarding the menu and his recommendations were well received. Starters were fresh but portions were comparitively smaller to similar restaurants. We ordered a variety of kebabs with the special rice. Not being a huge meat fan, I have to say, each dish was very fresh and cooked perfectly. Subtle aromas and spices added to the authenticity. The rice infused with saffron and barberry was sublime. The food was delicious.
The naan bread cooked in a traditional oven was the star item. Loved it.
I will critique the mocktails, for the size, they were unreasonably priced. Unfortunately the hummus failed to please any of us four diners.
That being said, we left satisfied and ready to burst, despite drinking the complimentary green tea.
Will visit again.
