Amazing food and service. I went for the Cock a Leekie which wasn't a light and hearty broth. My husband had the braised ox cheek... to die for! And then we shared a sticky toffee pudding with custard which was delightful. Fab service and great recommendations on the menu, we'll definitely be back!
This is by far the best British restaurant in Birmingham, and probably the whole of the UK! The food portions are massive and really savory. Yes British cuisine can be tasty when handled by the right people, and the owners of Juju's cafe know how to do their thing! The service is terrific: I have no doubt they're the warmest and friendliest lot in the business. No matter what, the staff will make you feel at home, comfy, cozy and well taken care of. If you don't like traditional British cuisine, just come for the service, you won't regret it!
This is the friendliest of places. Sitting down by the side of the canal there is no where better in Birmingham to have your full English breakfast, Lunch too is great value.
We chose this place because of its location and recommendation. On arrival we were greeted warmly and politely by the staff. We ordered the sharing breakfast platter for two with a glass of fresh orange each and extra toast for one. The quality of the food was good although a little cool ,and the price was a little under £21 for that I would have expected a couple of sausage and bacon rashers each and that's why I'm not giving top marks.
The front of the menu at Ju Ju’s reads ‘Welcome to Ju Ju’s’ in large font. Rarely has such a statement been so simple yet so accurate. Its a place where the worst of people could go in and leave smiling. I know this because I have been and I fall very much into that worst category. It does not offer much to the culinary world other than a big hug and a kiss to the forehead, but that’s fine with me; comfort is underrated is modern cooking. Flavour is too often sacrificed for finesse, heartiness lost to dainty dressing. Not here. At Ju Ju’s Julia is boss and her world is about feeding others.
I have been to Ju Ju's for the third time and I have never been disappointed with the great level of service and the food! Last time I was there I had the Fish & Chips and was not only beautifully presented, was delicious too! The prices are reasonable considering the freshness and quality of the products used and Julia is a lovely lady. I would recommend you to give it a try.
I was there with my mates last night and I took myself the Fish and Chips which was very good and nachos we ate before the food was also great. It has a more cafe feel than a restaurant. They have a service which is in my opinion extraordinary. Good food and wonderful staff! The food was slightly more expensive than the average for the same in other places, but it was probably worth it anyway.
I visited this place with my family and this restaurant is incredible. Located in Canal Square in Birmingham not far from Broad Street. This restaurant offers a beautiful modest and intimate venue which allows you to really soak up the atmosphere. The incredible thing is that if you have a taste for something which isn't on the menu or a special dietary need, and if they have the ingredients, they will happily make you something to your taste. You have to go there.
We discovered Ju Ju's this summer during a walk along the canal and since we go there regularly. Every meal in this restaurant is a pleasant time when we enjoy authentic dishes and good quality. The service is pleasant and attentive. We tried the Sunday Roast and the cheesecake that are "just amazing". Remember to book your table on before coming because it's mostly crowded.
They serve great food in a relaxed ambience! Been there twice and we tried Eggs in Purgatory, Luxurious Royal eggs with salmon (not on zomato's menu), scrambled eggs with salmon, Juju's Hash, and pancakes.
The Pancakes and Eggs in Purgatory are totally recommended if you are going there!
Having read excellent reviews and being highly recommended, I couldn't wait to try out Juju's food. Juju's cafe is all about serving fresh local sourced ingredients cooking up the best of traditional British English cuisine. It's location is not far off by the surroundings of Birmingham's well recognised Broad Street, Brindley Place - the canal and the NIA. Not also are they passionate about serving great food, they also provide superb service from the owner herself & the team.
Here is a sample of what we ate:
* Lightly spiced fishcake £5.99 (with lemon mayo & pea puree)
* Garlic Mushrooms £4.99 (in a creamy sauce, served on a toasted Brioche)
* Juju's home cooked spiced Nacho's £7.99 (served with grated cheese & sour cream and chilli beef / chilli bean)
* Juju's 'home cured' hot salt beef £10.99 (Brioche, hot salt beef, coleslaw, white cabbage, gherkins & carrots w/ house gravy &twice cooked chips)
* Juju's Hash £10.99 (crushed potato with a medley of mature cheddar cheese, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, topped with two eggs & mushroom ketchup)
* Homemade beef burger £7.99 (served with brioche bun, salad, melted mature cheddar, and real ale fruit chutney & twice cooked chips)
* Almond Butter baked whole Trout £13.99 (with a warm salad of new potatoes, green & broad beans)
* Matured Scottish 'rib eye' steak £19.99 (served with chips, mushrooms, grilled tomato & salad)
* Soup of the Day - Lamb stew with beans in a tomato based soup. (sorry if I'm wrong!)
* Pan seared fillet of Scottish Salmon £12.99 (served with spring onion, crushed new potato, with a choice of sweet chilli / hollandaise sauce)
All-in-all, the experience we had a Juju's cafe was outstanding - the food, the hospitality, and the service. I highly recommend that you pay this little gem a visit and you won't be leaving disappointed. Did I forget to mention that they also serve Breakfast all day?!? Yep, my list just keeps getting longer! Thanks for preparing an eventful evening for us Juju's cafe =)

Have a blast of warmth as soon as we walked in here today!
Bright colourful and friendly, great service and very tasty food on the canal. Great vegan options and coffee / alcohol options.
A pleasant surprise, I thought it would be chic, pricey and cold but it was anything but.
Definitely will return!
I have been meaning to visit Ju Ju's for years, and what a delightful little cafe in the heart of Brum.
A few of the dishes had sold out by the time we arrived (it was a Saturday evening after all) but what remained was absolutely wonderful. The pork and beef dishes were melt in the mouth tender, with the shepherd's pie being one of the best we had tried.
The staff were all warm and welcoming and made the visit a delight. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu soon!
Perfect location for an inner city cafe, just by the canal. Lovely decor and armosphere inside and when the weather is good enough, seating outside is a little sun trap, surrounded by the canal and the local wildlife.
Amazing food, family-owned and run, and you cannot ask for better service.
Brilliant range of brunch food, or a lovely choice in the evening for dinner.
Been here plenty of times and cannot rate this place enough.

First time at Ju Ju’s and it’s a great find. Quiet and friendly with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I had eggs beni on bagel with pancakes topped with bacon. It has a kind of rustic feel that’s not pretentious. Well done Ju Ju’s keep up the good work
I had a lovely lunch in this cozy cafe not far from the main canal. It's a quiet and strategic location, great choice of food both for breakfast or lunch/brunch. Definitely recommended :)
Central location near arena. Cozy cafe, and the most delicious food and atmosphere. Lovely, kind servers . We had nachos, beef yorki and fish and chips- the tastiest ever
Wonderful afternoon of delicious food and outstanding service at Jujus. I had Thai Fish Cakes for starters - deliciously tangy - an explosion of taste with hints of the Far East - followed by baked salmon with lovely fluffy buttery mash, fresh vegetables and hollandaise sauce. Glorious! For dessert I indulged in homemade bread and butter pudding and custard, with a minor marmalade tone, which was exquisite. We also enjoyed copious amounts of delicious Italian Prosecco. Sending thanks to all the team at Juju’s for a splendid dining experience and the wonderfully warm welcome extended to us all.
Having Juju's nearby is an absolute gem! A nice cafe by the canals. The ambience is cozy and the food is the bomb. Happy to be back.
Lovely restaurant with great staff! I got the vegan wellington roast and it was delicious! Amazing taste and texture, which can sometimes be difficult to achieve with a vegan wellington.
We had our brunch there for the first time. Location was picturesque as it had a lovely view of the canal with the ducks swimming around. The ambience was absolutely cozy. Service was great. Food was amazing. Would like to suggest that they add a little more flavour to the black pudding. Keep up the good work. We highly recommend this place. ❤❤❤ Cheers.
