Very polite and friendly service with a really good all day breakfast for a very good price. The service is also very quick would highly recommend.
Tiny little eatery but it has great food. And great service too!! Lovely English breakfast. Would definitely recommend for breakfast/lunch in the city Centre
Very friendly staff and great food make this venue pretty good!
I went twice in two days. They do a £3 meal deal for a baguette, can and crisps and they make the baguette infront of you.
This isn't like the baguette shops on new street where there are 20 staff churning out the food and shouting the baguette name. It's a personal service.
There's lots of seating should you wish to sit and eat your food. But if you are looking to support a local business with hardworking staff you can't go far wrong here.
Monday morning coffee is pretty much a necessity. My morning cup today came from the newly renamed Grand Central Kitchen.
Conveniently located right outside the station this is a nice little find as It is very fairly priced for both coffee and food items. I paid £2.30 for a late latte that at some places in the area can be closer to £3.
As my train was not too far away I decided to take away, but I would come back here again. A pleasant start to another week.
Popped in this morning to try it out. Ordered a flat white, competitively priced at £2.40. Was asked if I wanted it strong, I like this place already. Went to pay with card as I stupidly never carry cash. As they only opened 3 days ago the guy said it wasn't connected up yet. But! He was so kind and trusting to say to pay him later, and gave me a free amaretto biscuit.
The decor is dark but contemporary, big windows at the front let plenty of light in to offset the dark brown walls.
There is free wifi and charging points but I haven't sat in yet and used either.
Menu is well varied with enough different types of coffees and tea, breakfast sandwiches, pizza, burgers, hot sandwiches and meal deals.
Also a fridge of cold drinks on the way in. I will be returning later today to settle my bill and probably buy another drink.
Walked for a while around the centre of this wonderful city trying to find somewhere independent and pleasant for breakfast and coffee. Who were your town planners, Birmingham? When are they due to finish? Anyway, found this great wee place near New Street Station, just outside, in fact. I'm in the station fairly regularly but won't have to eat in there again.
This is a great coffee shop, lovely morning roll, excellent coffee. Served with a welcome and a smile. Peaceful atmosphere. Just the kind of place where I could spend an hour or two with the newspapers. I will return. And again.
A wee oasis of fine-ness.
I met a friend here for breakfast one Monday morning. Great independent for breakfast or lunch. I had a bacon and sausage bap and flat white for £5. It will be much better when all the tram works are completed.
Had heard excellent things about this spot for a while, so decided to visit for lunch today. I must say, it did not disappoint!
I ordered the Smoked salmon ciabatta. It was hot, fresh & delicious! I also had a side of chips & a chai latte, both were delectable.
The staff were lovely & welcoming, delivering very fast service. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious, hearty brunch spot!
The omelette was cooked perfectly, and the coffee was delish. My partner enjoyed his full English as well, only slight recommendation would be adding hash browns as an option but is preference and was still incredible. The service was also incredible and extremely friendly. Would happily go back any time.
Absolutely delicious food at a really reasonable price. Dropped on this place by accident but will definitely be coming here again. The steady stream of customers and all tables being filled as soon as they became available says it all. The staff were lovely too.
Easily the best independent cafe in Birmingham!
I went for the Full English Breakfast and Chai Latte. The Full English was absolutely delicious, food was hot, high quality and very filling. The price was very fair for the portion as well. The chai latte was really tasty too. The customer service was amazing, super friendly staff and very welcoming. Definitely worth a visit 👏
Fantastic crew, and delicious food. I ordered English breakfast, which costs 11,95 pounds, but in my opinion it was really worth it. I recommend this place 😁
Came here for the English breakfast. We dined in. Nice place and friendly staff. Tables were neat and staff was lively. I think I had a bit more than I planned to, and that was because, the meal got me 😊. I recommend.
Honestly, this is one of the best places I've ever been to. The staff are friendly and welcoming, brilliant service. The atmosphere is chilled and not too loud/quiet.
The food is amazing! I had the Full English Breakfast with poached eggs, and it was cooked to perfection. I can't recommend this place enough.
The food was awesome, great portion size and decent price, I can see why it's so popular opposite the train station.
The first two times we tried to go there was a queue outside so we had gone somewhere else but were determined to get in because of the queueing!
It was nice, and the service was great and very fast, lovely staff.
However I thought it was too small, crowded, busy and hot for my personal taste though. The place really is tiny!
Right across the street from the station we found the perfect breakfast spot, the Veggie breakfast and House omelette very so good!
The place is small and gets packed fast, there's usually a queue, but it moves fast
Haven't been into Birmingham in a while, and circumstances had me there early on a Saturday morning.
I googled where to have a nice breakfast, and this place came up first, so I thought i'd give it a try.
I'm so glad I did!! As soon as I walked in I was made to feel welcome by the very polite & friendly staff. I ordered a breakfast and waited. It arrived after a few short minutes and was made to perfection.
Food was brilliant, staff were brilliant & the prices were very reasonable.
I highly recommend.
Good food, kind staff and a warm atmosphere. Definitely coming back again 😁
Absolutely buzzing place, fantastic food, super friendly staff (thanks Maijid) who will give advice on what to get - can't fault it! If I often came to Birmingham on the train I'd be here every time.
One of the best breakfast places I have been to in the UK. Even if you have an hour to spare at Birmingham N St station this gem is definitely worth a visit.
I’d left my glasses on the train so couldn’t read the menu and just rattled off a list of things I’d like. I ended up with this beauty that covered the entire plate.
Smashed avo on sourdough toast topped with smoked salmon, a slice of halloumi and finished with a poached egg. Mushrooms on the side and rocket as a garnish. Absolutely delish. The coffee was decent too
The staff are amazing and super friendly 6 stars.
We came here to have 2 omelette rolls and a cappuccino as well as a chai latte. They were both really nice and tasty and it started off our day brilliantly. The omelette rolls tasted fantastic, with great flavour. The coffee was reasonably priced, compared to places like Costa and Starbucks, for example, and tasted better!
The staff were very chatty and friendly as well. We really enjoyed talking to them and they made the food very quickly within 10 minutes too. It was a bit noisy when we came in but I guess it's a normal thing with all restaurants in the morning, but it was still a fantastic experience and a great place to have your breakfast.
Breakfast is ok ,nothing extraordinary nothing wrong with it.Well cooked and a typical English breakfast that has gluten free and vegan options.Service is caring and personal with a very positive attitude that makes you to want to visit again. And they do know what a double espresso is that is essential at least for me.Could do with a little bit of a music vibe in the background..Overall a very friendly and nice atmosphere .
Without a doubt the best cafe in Birmingham (maybe the.UK?). I have eaten in a few times for breakfast but on thus occasion just grabbed a roll on my way to the station. Food is fresh and tasty, service is warm and friendly and the property is clean and welcoming. Keep it up and see you again soon :-)
The food was excellent and the service so so friendly, we were welcomed in and shown to a seat, and there's such a lovely chilled atmosphere. Of all the places in town, I'd eat here every week, loved it. It's a small place but I'd highly recommend going.
In Birmingham for a few days and this seemed like a decent breakfast stop. I was very impressed. The service was quick and good, the staff friendly and helpful and the food delicious. My only negative is the high price for a couple of extras my partner had with her meal, but even then, I can't complain. I would recommend to friends and will probably pop by next time in the city.
Cosy, very friendly and helpful service. Excellent coffee. And two fantastic breakfasts!
