Williamson Art Gallery Cafe - Birkenhead - Photo album

Such a brilliant art gallery that I’ve visited for many years. Entry is free and there are regular new exhibitions and events. Two main exhibits today were the Craig Easton photography exhibition and the worst record cover exhibits.
Visited the L S Lowry exhibition to see the painting of "Going to the Match" which is on tour throughout the country. This painting was purchased recently for £7.8M so it's a great opportunity to see a fabulous piece of Lowry's work plus some additional Lowry works and art by other local artists. Th
Wonderful hidden gem of a gallery and museum. Attended as part of a sustainability fair and will be back soon to spend more time in the wonderful galleries. Perhaps in t as hgh profile as some of the other galleries, but well worth a visit. Hight recommended

Nice at gallery and museum. Not very big but can spend half an hour or so here. Had a coffee shop inside too. Free entry and has a parking area next to it.

Lovely gallery, contemporary art alongside artefacts of local history. Great cafe and amazing courtyard. I love children’s corner theme related to the exhibition Apollo Remastered.
Very good gallery to visit, the Apollo Remastered exhibition is great, the other rooms are also very interesting. The cafe is reasonably priced and food is good. Della Robbia collection is fascinating.
Nice little art gallery, went to see the exhibition of bad album covers which was brilliant and also loved the maritime section.

Seeing the edgy 21st century artists exhibiting with the old masters is a unique experience & highly recommended. The buildings gorgeous & has a gard
