The Saughall Pub - Birkenhead - Photo album

Excellent Saturday night at the Saughall. The live band Stolen Property were really good performing songs from 60s to the 90s. Great banter between themselves and the audience. Food was reasonably priced. Non alcoholic Guinness and Heineken available to compliment a range of beers and lagers. Plenty
Very friendly! Even the dogs got to enjoy a Sunday roast 😊
We had an excellent meal followed by live entertainment provided by 'the vibes'. It was a good night out although more people need to take advantage of this good local pub.
I can’t praise, Emma, Danni and all the staff at the Saughall enough. They provided a wonderful funeral celebration of my husband with 50 mourners attending on Friday. Providing delicious home cooked hot meals, drinks & atmosphere with roaring fires & candlelit tables. It was very cosy and comfortin
A nice pub with two halves. One half a more restaurant feel with tables and chairs of various numbers. The other half a more relaxed sports bar area with pool table and dart board. The outside play area is good if you have younger members in your party. The carvery is cheap and very decent though it
Had a fantastic South African meal which was on the specials. Can't remember what it was called now but it was absolutely lovely. It was so nice to be able to try something different. The wife went for sausage and mash and really enjoyed it too. If you haven't been recently, I would recommend to giv
Edit: What an improvement. The new owners have done a great job!!! The food is amazing. A mix of British classics and South African classics. Highly recommend the wors and pap. SO GOOD. The staff are lovely, attentive and friendly and the beer is great but the food is absolutely awful. I've had bet
Really lovely food. Great staff. Kid friendly and good prices!! Recommend
Went to celebrate my hubby’s birthday, haven’t been since lockdown, new management so wasn’t sure what it would be like……absolutely stunning food, service was excellent, most definitely we will be back.
Very welcoming. Lovely staff. The roast is tasty and very good value for money.
Organised a hen party for my soon to be daughter in law. Emma, manager was so helpful even when members of the party were held up. Food was gorgeous and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Great night
Amazing place, this is the 2nd time I've been with my family, food was so tasty,I couldn't even finish my roast dinner it was so filling, all fresh food as well and the specials are great! Lively atmosphere, dog friendly and a great beer garden for the kids with a bouncy castle. Staff were so friendly
Although friday night the pub was very quiet to start with. Food was good will go back again.
Great food, amazing management, and staff. Warm welcoming pub. And OMG, try the South African dishes.
The Pub landlady was very kind letting me use the toilets when I was in desperate need. Although I offered to buy something(not a beer as it's early) in return she let me used for free. I appreciate it and will definitely come back for a drink. Thank you
New owners, redecorated. Wasn't expecting much as pubs nowadays are so samey food wise. Well, it was fabulous. The homemade steak and akw pie with yes, proper home-made gravy and chips was perfect. Was £14.99 but sooooo worth it. My go to pub now.
