I was a bridesmaid at a wedding here, and the staff were excellent, everything was so well planned it went incredibly smoothly for our nervous bride! They were very attentive to my dietary needs. The venue is very small for such a large gathering, however, which put off one of our dearest friends from staying for the party.
Having had a flood in my own apartment, I was forced to leave the premises. The management company paid for my stay in the River Hill Hotel as I suffer from Severe Emphysema and could not stay at home.
The RiverHill Hotel last evening was wonderful.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was beautiful. Very warm right through the night. The heating didn't get turned off or down.
I had a twin room, en suite walk-in shower and toilet.
The facilities were great. Sweets and complimentary crisps as well as a good range of drinks and toiletries.
I couldn't stay for breakfast unfortunately, but I would stay there again for a luxurious restful night's sleep.
It's one of my favorite place in the Liverpool area. Everything is perfect. Rooms are as clea as they can be and personnel is very nice. The breakfast is great and you may ask for anything you fancy! I also have my dinner at the hotel restaurant. Great food and reasonable price.
My wife and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the room we stayed in was very tastefully furnished, including an incredibly comfortable four poster bed. When we arrived, there was a wedding breakfast taking place and it struck me as an ideal venue for this kind of event.
In the evening, we dined in the hotel restaurant. One of the main reasons for staying at the hotel was because the 2010 Masterchef Professional winner, Claire Lara, is the head chef, so we both tried the taster menu. 7 courses later, we were suitably full. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. It was all priced very reasonably too.
All in all, we enjoyed a fantastic stay and the hotel, plus restaurant, is highly recommended.
Hotel was ok. Stayed whilst on a work trip to the local area. Room was comfortable but a little warm. Bar was surprisingly cheap. Staff were all very friendly. They should probably consider securing their wireless network though as I could of had some fun with their Sonos speakers 😀.
Had a really nice stay this weekend room was very clean and nicely furnished. Staff are very helpful polite and friendly. I had a small problem and Alex on reception sorted it out for me with minimal fuss. Thank you Alex and rest of staff for making my short stay enjoyable. Would recommend hotel for a great stay. Hope to come back in the future
Visited the restaurant here, food was OK, two of our party's steaks were ordered well done, arrived medium-rare. Wine list was excellent, service was good. I would return, but there is lots of competition to try first.
Great hotel for the price, lovely quiet setting friendly and welcoming. We had a good night's sleep, comfortable bed. If the extractor fan in the bathroom was fixed and bulb replaced by the mirror I would have given 5 stars
Went back to the Riverhill after mums funeral. We had booked the buffet breakfast for 44 people. Food and service were both excellent as was the location. I would strongly recommend.I will be booking an evening meal here in the not too distant future. Thank you Riverhill you done us proud and the feedback we received from friends and family backed up our comments.
Food was very nice, however the service could be improved. It seemed most of the time some of the waiters would be standing around talking whilst leaving just 1 or two to do all the work. Also the waitors/waitresses may benefit from attending additional courses in the right procedure of waiting on people in the restaurant.
Fabulous service, location and especially comfortable. Five stars well deserved. The menu was top class ,beautifully presented and delicious . A MUST for a short or long visit .I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Enjoyed a very lovely dinner at the Riverhill restaurant! The main courses were the highlights, with my venison being especially good. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed and traditional, and it would be a great place to come for a special dinner with family (probably rather than a rowdy group of mates.) It was a nice touch that the chef Claire Lara, the winner of MasterChef 2010, came around to chat with each of the tables.
Location is great for Oxton bars and social life. Just a short hop to Liverpool through the Birkenhead tunnel. Hotel has had an update recently and looks great. Also good location for gigs and football at Tranmere Rovers just down the road. Staff are friendly, food is great and the bar is well stocked 👍
Booked our wedding venue for next year, chose the riverhill because it's a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds, June and all staff very friendly and helpful. Felt like we were in a homely and very inviting atmosphere, June was very honest with us and professional advised us to check out other venues which we did and found the riverhill the most ideal venue for us would definitely recommend this hotel x
Great venue, restaurant is immaculate, bar is cosy and welcoming. Staff are very friendly. It may be off the main road but the hotel is surrounded by trees and elevated so you don't notice it at all.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff,we had a meal in restaurant which was gorgeous. Comfortable bed in a lovely room we slept like logs!
Recommend you visit this hotel.
