We were just in Southport for a week and someone recommended The Fryery. It's brilliant, really friendly people serving great food at very reasonable prices.
It was so good we paid them two visits, once for fish and chips, battered sausages and fishcakes. (We were a group of 6) I thoroughly recommen
It may be somewhat annoying for some, but I personally feel inspired with confidence when the queue is snaking all the way out the door. Waited 20 minutes or so, but was worth the wait. Good size fish with great batter and chips just right. Would come again.
I have only been here once, but I am certain the standards will be the same.
One thing for me is that when entering a business - you should be greeted; even it's it's busy it's not difficult to say "hi *we have noticed you* we will be with you soon.

Delicious freshly-fried chicken breast and chips - and I order a portion of each of their two homemade curry sauces, which are about the best around.
Also recommend the homemade chicken curry with half rice/half chips and at weekends, the homemade plate steak pie. Very friendly and efficient service
I ordered chips and fruity curry not expecting anything special but I was blown away by how good it was. The curry sauce had my mouth dancing. Very good indeed and highly recommended.
Amazing customer service, looks like the deliveroo driver “lost” half our order and they drove round themselves in a matter of minutes with the whole order again and a drink, we were so impressed with this level of service 👍👍👍

Went to try because there had been a lot of charter on Facebook recently about which was the best chippy in Southport and to be honest the Fryery was in the top 3 and there's nothing between them
Stopped on way back from Formby with our 5 year old. Friendly staff, great service, clean and welcoming eat-in area. Very tasty food. Fish, scampi, chips and smooth curry sauce were all excellent. Best battered cod i have had in a long while. Very good value. Portion sizes perfect. Happy tummies all

The taste of working class fine dining at its best. Good quality with fresh ingredients, clean frying oil and happy, smiling and helpful staff. Next time I’m in Southport I’ll make the trip here for the classic fish, chips and mushy peas. Chip portions are generous too!
Immaculate, friendly, well priced traditional fish and chip shop! The young man Bailey that works there is a credit to the place! We will be visiting frequently and encourage everyone to do the same 😊
