A great vibe, staff first rate, and a hot chocolate to die for, highly recommend, will be going back soon : )
I came yesterday for a birthday lunch with my mum and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive, they even sorted out an extra cushion for mum.
The food was delicious, we both ate the pork and it was so tender.
We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent food, a great place for Sunday lunch or lunch on any other day. The suet puds are really good and the wine is good too. I can highly recommend it.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Fabulous food and lovely people.
Outstanding place!! - A must visit when you are in Birchington
Lovely British lunch. Perfect if you are hungry. Dessert was lovely too.
Very good. Smaller portions of lovely food for the elderly clientele.
A true gem that always delivers great food.give them a try you won't be disappointed
Food was great value and very lovely only negative no air con or open windows
Always amazing service and friendly staff. Full breakfasts and bacon basis all round. Not greasy at all and everything was lovely and got. Bubble and squeak was perfect and loved seeing black pudding available. Didn't stay for cakes bit the lemon meringue pie looked amazing.
What a great café! We were looking for somewhere to warm up with hot chocolate and cake on a very cold day and saw this place - what a find! Lovely hot chocolate, very good cake, and great café decor.
Lovely traditional cafe, friendly, quick service. Relaxed atmosphere, just off the end of the high street, definitely worth a visit.
Lovely welcome. Delicious roast pork lunch.
Little gem of a place, homely, cosy with very friendly, helpful staff and very good food. Meal bought by a local friend for my husband and I about a month ago. Pulled pork twice and excellent pie. My 2nd visit and highly recommended by my friend who visits more often but if only I lived locally I'm sure we'd join our friend there more often. Perfect roomy loo too! Well done and thankyou. Jill, Graham and friend Shirley Knott.
We visited the Parlour today with 2 friends from London, who had read reviews and asked if they could have lunch with us. Having been several times before, I had booked within 5 minutes of them asking. I had explained that every element would be exceptional ingredients used in a completely honest way, no fancy names or flashy presentation.
We could have chosen any or every item on the menu and received a great meal. In fact, we chose 3 different mains-all of which were delightful. The homemade pie my friend had no disappointing gap under the top crust before you found the meat. Chunky pieces of chuck steak filled the whole pie surrounded in beautiful stout gravy, I would have been envious except my beef hotpot more than matched couple with a herby dumpling. GREAT!
The ladies had great roast pork and emptied their plates, no better recommendation possible. All at outstanding value. 2 very happy friends.
