Had a great vegan meal here on Sunday afternoon. We all loved the tempeh dippers for starter (including our non vegan 9 year old)! Absolutely fantastic to be able to have a choice of vegan dishes along with brilliant selection of beers and excellent service. I would recommend this place to anyone :-)

This pub is a great find in Bingham. I visited with a friend who is a vegan who had researched pubs that could meet his needs. Upon entering the pub the barman made us feel welcome and certainly knew what beer's were suitable for a vegan. He additionally pointed out that they had a dedicated vegan menu. The barman also served the food in both an efficient and friendly manner. I have to say both meals were excellent. We will be back. Well done.

Great atmosphere, lovely restaurant upstairs, extremely friendly knowledgeable bar and waiting staff, amazing offers (eg 241 main meals on Wednesdays, 2 pizzas for £12 on Thursdays), fantastic with children and an extensive menu for all including the largest range of vegan options including desserts I've ever seen in a pub. What is not to like! Best pub food I've had - thank you!

Excellent pub with good bar staff, who know their customers. The atmosphere is very good as is the food. The selection of drinks is fantastic with beers, wines, spirits and of course soft drinks to accommodate all tastes.

This is my new favourite pub. Just a shame its not closer to where I live, although that's probably a blessing. Atmosphere is fantastic, food is top notch but the best of all is the choice of real ales.

As a vegan it's difficult to find places which offer reasonable dining options. The Horse and Plough does that and more. The food is delicious and the service is great. Can't fault it!

Amazing place & really awesome staff. Super friendly & always a pleasure to visit! The manager Rosie is always there and welcomes you with a friendly face. You kinda feel like you popping home to visit the family. Rosie does a quiz every week which is great and there’s so much more there! Loads of events, a pool table, real ale and a great selection of alcohol. we’ll tbh I’d say it’s one of the best pubs around & so worth a visit.

My favourite Bingham pub. Shame they dont do meals upstairs any more, but these are hard times. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. I wish they'd turn off the TV when there's nothing on. Too much football.

This has been a long-term haunt of mine, from when it was the Laughing Cavalier in the late 90's, to it's short stint as the Oliver Cromwell, through the many years it was superbly run by the Bartsch family as the Horse and Plough, until now where it is owned by Castle Rock. It's always my first pub of choice when looking for a pint of something decent in Bingham. Cosy in the winter and nice to sit outside in the summer in their new(ish) beer garden. It's perhaps not as well aesthetically kept as it was in the Bartsch days; the place was always immaculate and a lot of effort was put into dressing it up into a beautiful pub. Now it is starting to show its age in places, namely the outdoor gazebo, which is in DESPERATE need a new canopy, but, the range of beer is fantastic and what you'd expect from Castle Rock. For me, you can't go wrong with a Harvest Pale Ale!

Misleading photograph. Bar staff knowledgeable and accommodating. Great selection of beers and drinks. Interior has lost its individual appeal and charm since attempting to be a sports bar. However this move is understandable following the pandemic. This is a very masculine place to drink. It almost feesl like drinking in someones unfinished extension. However despite this it is a nice, friendly place to drink in Bingham.

Nice but small pub. I think they had a big area out the back but didn't venture out there.

Would definitely go back here. Stylish and modern dining area upstairs. Potato was a little undercooked but aside from that food was great, really tasty and exciting! Service was very friendly, especially from our waiter, and we felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. Really nice atmosphere in the pub downstairs, relaxed with a great choice of beer and a good live band playing!

Great cosy real ale pub which always seems popular with the locals and has a wide range of ales that are changed frequently. Friendly staff and great pub atmosphere. A change from the gastro type Pubs popping up in Bingham and a classier pub than the rest. Now has a pool table upstairs and shows the football and rugby.

We ate here Sunday lunch time. In the group we had a few Sunday roasts and a couple of people ordered beef burgers. The burgers were amazing. Possibly the best burger I've ever had. The Sunday roasts were also very good. Prices were reasonable and the staff very polite and friendly. Highly recommended.

Visited December '18. A very nice, cosy pub with a big selection of real ale beers and very strong ciders. Tried the vegan food and very good it is with a good selection, not just one option but several! Friendly and helpful staff and punters too.

Proper pub. Gr8 choice of beers, to suit all tastes. Very clean, relaxed atmosphere. Didn't get food but I'm sure that it would be a good experience. But the interior alone deserves a visit, along with a swift half, of course. Happy days.

My wife is a coeliac sufferer and I'd heard good things about this place's ability to provide tasty food for all. They were brilliant. I emailed them earlier in the day for a menu and they responded within 30 minutes. When we arrived they were so helpful and attentive, making the experience much nicer. They even checked their ingredients of the tartar sauce to ensure it was gluten free (it is). She has fish and chips with a gf batter. I'm told it was wonderful. I had the Arnie burger, which was immense! So we had a great evening with fantastic food for our separate needs along with some lovely ciders! Highly recommended and we will be back!
