Owd Nells Tavern is situated within the quirky Guy's Thatched Hamlet. It is a busy pub with indoor and outdoor seating right next to the Lancaster Canal. There is a great selection of drinks available including quite a few draught ales. The food is mostly pub grub and pizzas but is very reasonably p

We were table 25 on Sunday. We enjoyed Sunday roast beef dinners served hot, generous portions, couldn't fault. Ice cream sundae desserts were fantastic. Real ales were on top form. Only criticism was we had a speaker playing music right above us which made conversation difficult wouldn't hesitate
One of the most welcoming places ever. The atmosphere and decor are just so warm. The cheese and onion pie is honestly the best pie I have ever had. A great place to watch the day go by sat next to the canal. A must visit if your in the area
Not much changed over the many years I have been coming here. The Cod and chips are very good value for what you get. Friendly staff and a selection of cask ales available. Dog friendly in certain areas inside and of course everywhere outside. The seafood platter is amazing.
As we like to walk and preston is about 12 miles away by following the canal, it's a great place to stop and refresh yourself with a soft drink or more if that's what you like. The young lady behind the bar was very friendly and very bubbly and could not do enough for us. Sadly, we did not eat, but
Cheap and cheerful food that was good quality. Great for a lunch out. Looked nice outside but we went inside. Very big space so plenty of tables to choose from.
Excellent meal here at lunch time. Home made steak and kidney pudding and a ploughman's lunch. Plenty of food as you can see in the picture, recommended.
Great Food and its Hot, Fresh veg, home made chips. Relaxed atmospher by side of canal. Old fashioned type shops to wonder around.
Wife had a lovely steak & kidney pudding. Loved it. Myself I had a chicken sandwich. Again very nice. Lovely warm day. Beautiful setting.
