Our first visit but definitely not our last. It was our sons 12th birthday and family across Lancashire came over, so perfect location to meet up for breakfast. Staff were very friendly, lovely dining area watching the horses at the back, great portions, even the takeaway cakes were massive (and delicious, didn't take the kids long to polish them off after a good walk round Beacon Fell!). Definite cannot wait to come back to try the lunch menu and afternoon teas. Would recommend to anyone

Cakes and coffee were delicious . . . The best ever. Also lovely gifts on sale and a fabulous farm shop too. Only one complaint re customer toilets which we reported whilst there . . . One backs up almost to top of bowl and the other backs into the sink. . . . When reported staff where aware of this but people kept using them

Loved it! Came for afternoon tea today. £20 for 2 and it was filling, we brought some cakes home in a box! Kids had beans in toast and cheese on toast, they really enjoyed too. They also enjoyed playing with the owners dogs down by the river. Its a little hidden gem.

I've been to Light Ash Farm Shop & Cafe a number of times for lunch with family & friends. I'm going today with an old school friend for some lunch, she's not been before ! I have always found the food excellent & the staff are very friendly & nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys home cooked fresh food & loves their cakes.

Only popped out for cake and a brew, ended up having dinner. The Yorkshire Pudding Wrap was lovely, lots of Beef cooked perfectly and the Loaded Fries with Sweet Chilli Crispy Shredded Beef, top notch. Staff couldn’t do enough for you, making sure everything was as it should be and you get to look at all the amazing looking afternoon teas coming out while you wait.

A hidden gem, but not so hidden as to stop it being full and bustling on the Saturday afternoon we visited. Despite it being busy, service was friendly and fast. Afternoon tea for 2 kept us fed for a day and a half!

Went on spec with my daughter. Was very pleasantly surprised, not what I was expecting at all. Very nice dining room, staff were excellent, friendly and genuinely smiley. Food was top notch - I had a chicken and stuffing “door stop” sandwich. My daughter had a Cajun chicken and brie wrap. Absolutely no complaints. We bought cake to take away too. Great value for what we had.

Fantastic café and farm shop! If you're in the area you really should go but be aware it's busy for a reason! We had a doorstep sandwich each, honestly one between two adults would have been enough but they were great! We particularly enjoyed the tuna one. I would challenge you to have room for cakes and buns, we didn't....so we bought them as take aways. Wow! The Lotus biscuit tiffin was delicious and so to was the Almond and pear frangipane.

Beautifully tasty and quality food, every time. The service is always friendly and attentive. Delicious breakfast and sweet treats for sale. The afternoon tea is an absolute winner and there's more than you could possibly eat! Luckily they are happy to give you a box to takeaway any leftovers as you won't want to let it go the waste! I find it is always very busy but I suppose if you're serving the best cafe food in the area it will be busy!

Lovely little spot for some tasty food. We sat down in the restaurant and had the scampi &chips and sticky beef ciabatta. Only small issues were that to pay for your meal you were paying at the same till used for the little cake shop at the front. This was crowded and we had quite a wait as there were others ordering cakes and sweet treats. The cakes were very tasty though and would definitely venture again but maybe at a quieter time - if there is one!

Went today for coffee and a sandwich and we were not disappointed. Plenty of parking and outside seating, with a spacious dining area inside. A grand range of cakes and they certainly don't scrimp on the portions and the service was very friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.

Huge portions and delirious fresh meals. Even serve Gluten free. Or just pop in for a piece of a massive variety of cakes and have a coffee. Highly recommend this little gem. Good prices considering the size of meals. Nice little farm shop full of goodies to.

Lovely cafe a near Preston. A simple but tasty lunch menu - sandwiches, soup etc. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Indoor and outdoor seating. Horses and sheep in the paddock nearby. A large selection of cakes for eat in or 'cakeaway', and ice creams.

I love Light Ash Farm! We have visited to both eat in and take away. Friendly service, great quality food but the best thing is the cake. The selection is huge, there is so much to choose from, everything I have tried is delicious. The cake portions are massive and I normally have to cut them into two or three pieces. If you want a cake treat this is definitely the place to go.

Quick stop for tea turned into a fabulous lunch stop. The bacon & Brie quiche is really good. Gigantic chocolate cake was not to sweet and very moist. A great find in the English countryside.

Friendly farm cafe. Inside and outside dining. Varied menu.Nice efficient staff. I had the "doorstop" Lancashire cheese sandwich. It really was huge. My only problem was that I had no room for one of the delicious cakes on offer, will have to go back for coffee and cake one day!

Great Farm Cafe, beautiful food, full breakfast is one of the best, gorgeous lunches or just coffee and cake, the cakes are out of this world with a large selection. The Light Ash is mostly busy so it's best to reserve a table if you're thinking of going around lunchtime. Flag floors and large farmhouse tables, very clean and cosy with a large log burner in winter. Good for disabled, parking is good, nice clean toilets, picnic benches outside in the sunny part, beautiful setting in the countryside, quiet and peaceful. Well worth a visit.
