5 star! Great pub! Lovely selection of drinks. Food was fantastic! Well stuffed after the mixed grill! Chris was a really good host, and looked after us in the best way possible, even bringing us drinks to our table! Very attentive! Will definitely be going there again next time I'm up that way!
Just had a lovely lunchtime catch up with a friend in here today. We enjoyed our food, I had a cheese and bacon burger with fries which was delicious and then an Eton mess sundae for dessert which was a generous portion and nicely presented. The service was quick and very friendly and the atmosphere was also really friendly and pleasant. Will definitely be visiting again.
Been here several times as its dog friendly and has a lovely beer garden! Food is all homemade and very good, I've had the odd mistake however staff have always rectified it as soon as they've noticed!

Been working away and found this pub to be our local, Chris , Megan , Connor and Kirsty have been fantastic to us and we couldn’t recommend it more, fantastic food, fantastic service and all around great atmosphere
Lovely pub, cosy, welcoming and has a great atmosphere. Drinks are great and the food is delicious. I especially loved the lasagna. The staff were nice, helpful, calm under pressure and were very prompt with bringing out the food and drink. One member of staff who stood out was called Harrison - he was very knowledgeable about the drinks and recommended some great pairings with the food that my friends and I got
A lovely meal with friendly service. We don’t go in very often even tho we live just around the corner but we really should. A great pub with excellent food and beers.
Dropped in a few times for beers and occasional meals. Decent range of beers ( found Bass on draft one time, which I thought had been discontinued). Meals? Jury still put on that one, bit greasy last time, but not as bad as one of theis chains other pubs in Boldon.
Great little pub, nice atmosphere with a fab beer garden. Perfect for a sunny Saturday afternoon with the dog. Some nice lunch time snacks and even some choice for the pooch. Megan and Sophie provided great service nothing too much trouble 🙂
Great food lunch for a great price. Couldn't fault it, hear the pub is under new management and seems ro be going well. Staff happy and smiling and gave great service especially Emma, and kirsty. Never have a bad meal in here, have been several times and the service is always amazing
Found this place just by chance after terrible service at Tody carvery and have the say we were glad we did find it, staff were warm, welcoming and friendly, atmosphere was so peaceful and the food was amazing.... We will definitely be back

Visited yesterday with friends and my dog, had the most lovely evening! Started off in the beer garden which is huge and well kept, we each had food and a few pints!(highly recommend the smoky Joe burger🥰) we then moved into the back room which is cosy and welcoming. We also had a 6 year old with us who was made more then welcome, Sharon found us some board games to keep us all entertained! Sophie on the bar was fab and the food Paul made for us all was excellent. Highly recommended a visit!!
We visited this lovely quaint village pub for lunch and the experience was excellent from start to finish, Beautiful food , prompt professional service from all the staff, the premises are spotless and would recommend it to everyone,

When my fat friend moved in over the road from here, he aged about 30 years in 2 weeks and nearly 3 months later we have made a atmosphere in the place and even got the regulars smiling and laughing, even bubbles the barman
