The variety was good and the food we chose was great. Slightly disappointed that the pie did not gave short-crust pastry on the top, but it was still tasty. Both steaks were delicious and the desserts were tasty. Id recommend it .
We had a surprise birthday for a friend in the private dining room and it couldn’t have been lovelier! Leah was so helpful setting up the room and Vicky really looked after us all evening. Great food, lovely service, highly recomend. 😍 thank you for making our evening special.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. Staff are really friendly especially Sarah and Pippa. Food was really outstanding. Had a lovely day In the garden with my partner, young daughter and two chihuahuas :)
Great pub for Sunday lunch. Food was lovely and fairly priced. Really nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Will most likely be coming back at some point!
Lovely Sunday lunch, the sirloin of beef was so tender and the flavour of all the trimmings was really great. Excellent value for money, four people having mains, drinks, desert and coffee, the bill was still only 130 quid. Very impressed considering the quality of the food. Our waiter Amie was so lovely and friendly, really adding to a welcoming and pleasant experience. Highly recommend it.
Went here for Sunday Lunch with family, haven’t been here in a while, but the new menu is great, food was very good and the service was amazing. The pub has also been refurbished since my last visit and is very cosy with the fire places. Very good for a Sunday family meal! Will definitely be coming back to try the new Christmas menu…
Lunch with 2 friends. The food was excellent - 2 had fish cakes and I had king prawn skewer and salad. The service was fast and efficient but we never felt rushed. In fact, we were there for 3 and a half hours. I had a mini creme brulee and a flat white. Our waitress was Kirstie and she wax lovely - friendly and polite. A great place for lunch.
Absolutely love the kings head, always have a great meal whether lunch or dinner. Leanne often serves us and she is an exceptional waitress who pays attention to detail. Really enjoy the koftas and the fish cakes although all the food tastes good.

Had a very relaxing evening for a surprise birthday celebration with my family. Special thanks to Aimee who looked after us superbly all evening,nothing was too much and made sure were were all catered for with a smile. Excellent service.

Really lovely roast, gravy was amazing. I had the beef and had plenty, my husband had the pork belly which was a bit on the small side but still very nice. Amie, our waitress, was very attentive and helpful - will definitely be coming back!
Visit King Head Mead Restaurant Billericay very time three of us. My friend daughter birthday that day. We had starters big meals and 3 ice-cream horror fantastic. Lovely people's we met associating with others had great time. It was quiet peacefully music playing in background and we will go back again.
Lovely food, convenient location. The downside, it's very busy so waitresses don't have much time to take care of all customers properly. We had to go to the bar to pay our bill.

Comfortable environment inside, plenty of parking and food was excellent. Also bar staff friendly and attentive. We were going to sit outside but limited shade available which would be the only area to consider improving but otherwise excellent and we have been many times and will definitely be going again.

I couldn’t be happier about our visit, Sam is great, not only was she an amazing waitress we had a lovely chat. The food is very nice and has been consistently nice each time we have visited, but this time stood out to us. She even went above and beyond for my daughters birthday with a happy birthday dessert surprise.
Ordered a chicken dish with mushrooms, looked great with lots of mushrooms. The chicken was awful, tough and chewy. Our server told us they had lots of complaints about this dish and head office knew.
Our server removed this item from the bill. I did not ask her to do so and can only say great customer service
