This place is bloody GOOD! We tried it for the first time in 2016 and was amazed at how nice it was. The large cod, its more like a whale, its huge and delicious.

Called in at 9.15pm on way back from Wimpole Estate. Wasn't sure if they'd still be serving, they were, and we got freshly cooked cod, chips and mushy peas and they were great! Batter thin and crispy, lovely just cooked chips with fluffy middle. Will definitely visit again.
Fantastic Fish and chip shop. Excellent chips and decent portions, fish is always good but personal preference is for the cheeseburger with donor meat on top, you can't beat it. Have been coming here for a while and will continue to do so

I ordered large cod and chips with mushy peas it was delicious the staff were friendly and helpful, it's quite busy when I was there and I waited until the fish was cooked fresh.
Great fish and chips and the best kebabs in town. The Saxon Special is big enough to feed a family of four! They accept pre-orders by phone, which is a good idea if they are busy as they are on most evenings.
Nice that the fish is cooked while you wait. Inly opportunity is that the chips could be hotter.
