Decent place for a night. We had top floor loft room which although roomy was up 4 flights of stairs and next to the water tanks/ heaters so from early in the morning , a lot of noise with the tanks constantly filling and heating. The carpets and decor around the corridors in general are well worn and badly stained. They stop serving breakfast at 10, which after a late night out was when we were getting up , but they served a decent coffee . Great value tbh tho in a great location for the town centre.
Room was OK, bed a bit to soft for me mattress felt worn and uncomfortable, Room was OK, coffee and Tea making facilities. Staff very helpful, nice Bar and restaurant area..good food..Nice location and free parking.
Stayed for three nights. The staff were lovely - friendly and professional. The breakfasts we ate were delicious and filling. The room was a good size and clean, but tired. Would recommend.
We have visited the hotel before but first time staying. We were in Biggleswade visiting family. The room was lovely and comfortable. The staff were very friendly food was excellent. Got a lovely welcome on arrival from Jenny and Eve. Will definitely stay here again I highly recommend.
Great location and really good breakfast and bar. Rooms very dated but very clean and very small TVs maybe 12 inches and did not work and WiFi poor signal. But comfy beds and desk and wardrobe
Delicious special lamb pie served with creamy roast, veg and two pints of Tribute.
Eaten in here before when having a breakfast but never stayed in the rooms. A nice pub and restaurant serving some gourmet style food which is pretty damn good! Pub is clean, welcoming and warm even though on this evening it was snowing outside and pretty grotty.
Prices are about average or a little less in the present market and portion size is ample.
A Nice dining area at one end of the premises which had a few tables in on a Wednesday night, followed by a quiz for those who like to take their evening to that next level!
Ok, I booked a single room...and it was pretty basic, but you get what you pay for. The breakfast was gorgeous anr staff very friendly.
I was told when I called to book the day previous, that even though its a 3pm book in, as I'd be arriving at 12.30pm, there would definitely be a room ready for us.. when we arrived, we were met by the manager, who without even looking at us, told us that the room would not be ready until 3pm, I explained what I was told previously and again, no eye contact at all, repeated that booking in was at 3pm... we went away for a wonder around the area, and when I called at 2pm, the employee who answered, (a lady) informed me that yes all rooms where ready to go, I asked if we could have booked in at 12.30 and she said yes... we then went back, and was booked in by said manager, again no eye contact, very short with how he spoke to us, then later I came down to ask if food I had with me that was in a container with a lid could be heated in a microwave, he informed me , again very abruptly, that no, because it wasn't wrapped!!!!! Seriously felt very disrespected by him. The room was lovely and the rest of the staff was fantastic.. pity I can't say same about the person in charge.... I'd love to stay again.. but won't as I refuse to pay to feel less than.
A great place to stay and unwind. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and even though we were given ear plugs on check-in, we didn't need them.
Went in for breakfast lady at the restaurant/bar was very lovely
Lovely pub hotel and food
The food is to die for especially the triple cooked chips chef Steve amazing and all the staff are very friendly and helpful go the extra mile
Building is old with character. Room rates totally reasonable. Rooms to rear weren't loud
This was our third time visiting, after attending a couple of the bottomless brunches. Every time the food has been delicious and we’ve been served by the wonderful Jenny, who is a ray of sunshine and can’t do enough for you. Our most recent visit was to celebrate my birthday and it was the perfect venue. The food was spot on and the espresso martinis were just right. Thanks to all the team for such a lovely evening.
Rating for the restaurant.
Went for a Sunday lunch and the food was delicious. The only downside was that there was one plant based option on the whole menu and this had to be asked for separately. The roasts were delicious so it seems disappointing that the talented chefs cannot offer more than a salad for vegans. I was told the salad was very nice though so no complaints about quality, just the offerings. Will try again in a few months and hope that the menu will be updated.
Been before. Nice place with friendly staff, good parking, great breakfast.
