Wow. We were a group of 4 embarking on a motorcycle tour of Scotland. We ordered food from the Taj Mahal and expected a run of the mill takeaway. What a surprise. The food was absolutely fantastic, and I really mean that. Huge portions, very flavoursome, it was superb. Without any hesitation you should try this place.
Amazing amazing service and great food. So welcoming and makes us so comfortable, it really was a great service. We went back 3nights in row! Shame there are not close to my home otherwise i would have come every night!!! Thank you!!!

Ever since I moved to Biggar, I was told about this place and to try it, me and my family tried it once and have been hooked ever since. Such amazing food, never any issues. Staff are so so kind and make you feel so welcomed. Can't wait for the restaurant to be open for sit-ins !

Lambchop special, one (huge) nan bread, mixed vegetable side. Everything was lovely, the meat practically fell off the bone by itself. Thank you, I definetely would come again.
We've just moved to Biggar from a city and our faaaavourite takeaway treat once a week is an Indian and there are tonnes to choose from in Edinburgh so coming to Biggar, where there's only one chance for a good'n- we were crossing our fingers like mad! Well we needn't have worried, it's better than any of the choices we ever had! The team are so friendly, so big tick on customer service and then the food - wow! Delicious! Not only is it delicious but there's loads of it, so quality AND quantity. We had leftovers for the next day, scrummy x 2! Really relieved and happy we've managed to move out to a beautiful place AND somehow bag the best Indian around.

Multiple award winning Indian eatery and not hard to see why. Pretty much the nearest Indian to our holiday cottage but could very well be the best anywhere else in the UK! Unfortunately didn't get to try any of the spicier food but the korma was spot on and the cheese and garlic naan was excellent. The kids enjoyed it so much we even went back the next night! Icing on cake was the excellent and friendly service. Definitely recommended!
In a world where good customer service seems to be a thing of the past the Taj Mahal is a breath of fresh air! Lovely, friendly and efficient service even though they were extremly busy and the food is delicious with plenty to go around. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

A pleasing enough atmosphere. The staff are exceptional: very welcoming, full of amusing patter, and could not have done better with their help and advice on ordering. The food was all good and of a perfectly acceptable and enjoyable standard without being in any way outstanding.
In summary, very good, very enjoyable, but unremarkable.
Amazing service. The food was 5 out of 5, it tasted great and they try to use minimal oil which we loved, however it was the service that made this special. All the staff made us very welcome and were very informative. Will 100% be eating here again next time we pass through the town.
Just amazing food and great service. You’d think the only Indian restaurant in a small town like Biggar wouldn’t have the best or the most authentic Indian cuisine but this place did. If you’re driving to Edinburgh or on your way back, or even if you’re a nearby resident, do yourself a favour and check this place out.
