There are not many Mexican restaurants in north Devon but this is the best for food quality. Portions are generous and the food is very tasty. I had the pulled pork enchilladas with a side of rice and although it didn't look big compared to the burgers it was really filling. The portion size was spot on as I would not have been able to finish it, if it had been any bigger. Overall it is very good value for money and the staff are very pleasant and attentive. Cocktails are delicious but a tad on the small side. However, if you order off the 2 for 1 menu on Thursday then it's a good deal.
The only thing that lets the restaurant down is lack of atmosphere but to be fair, it was a Thursday, pouring with rain, extra lockdown measures had just been announced and the restaurant is tucked away in the back of an outlet mall not visible from the street, which is a shame because the owners have obviously gone to a lot of trouble with decorations and an incredible 'day of the dead' themed mural. It would be an outstanding place if there were more diners and more atmosphere and that is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

food was excellent! 5 of us went had starters, main & pudding every meal was absolutely delicious, cocktails were also amazing, very friendly staff, it was my birthday and they made the effort to decorate the table and put birthday banners out for me which was such a special touch!
will 100% be returning, highly recommended.

Best mexican food I've ever had! What a gem tucked away in a shopping centre. We were staying in a hotel opposite and happened to spot a sign for this by chance!
The staff were lovely, food and drinks were great quality, mojito was especially good! The food portions were very generous, we had nachos to share and it was huge and tasted so good. And then enchiladas and fajitas for main. It tasted like genuine Mexican food, not like some of the chains you get around and was so delicious!
I would definitely recommend this place!

Lunch time visit
We didn't book and were able to have a table for 6. Service was amazing as was the food. All of our meals were beautifully served and very hot.First visit and would highly recommend to everyone. All the other customers food also looked really good. Large size meals so make sure you are hungry . Thank you to the team

We visited Toro Loco in Biderford on the 30th August 2021 and I had Surf & Turf and it was beautiful the steak itself was cooked perfectly medium rare and tasted amazing. My partner had the Chicken Espetada which he said was so full of flavours and he really enjoyed it. The staff & Service was Spot on so helpful and accommodating. we will definitely go again when we are next on holiday in Devon..

Friendly staff, great food and good sized portions. Have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants … and this is up amongst the best. What it lacks in ambience is made up for in taste! Recommend!
