Hartland Point Refreshments - Bideford - Photo album

Fabulous place just off the beaten track and seeming in the middle of nowhere when we drove to it. It does cost a couple of pound to park but the walks and views are stunning. Be sure to have an ice cream, cake or cream tea from the friendly and very welcoming staff in the hut on the site. You also
Lovely landscape. The land owner charges £2.50 per car. There's a cafe. BUT no toilet facilities. Even if you have an illness like Crohn's disease... The views are stunning and there are quite a few butterfly species (wall brown, common blue, red admiral, small tortoiseshell).
It was a pity that: 1. It was foggy 2. You can’t visit the lighthouse 3. The paths are in need of maintenance It is a nice place to visit still, but it can’t compete with Hartland Quay.
After walking miles on a multi day trip on the SWCP, this stretch caused us some difficulties due to the absence of any facilities en route. This little cabin was an absolute saviour 8 miles in from Clovelly! We had tea, coffee, lovely freshly made sandwiches, crisps. Thank you to the owner. Such a
Lovely little takeaway counter selling local icecream, delicious cakes and drinks. Really friendly people serving and the place was spotless! There are benches out the front to sit and enjoy your refreshments. Right on the South west coast path! Great for walkers.
Bit of a hidden treasure, pay to get there, area for parking, small tea shop with a good selection of food, pleasant staff, great walk and incredible views. Lots of work and repairs going on, which is reassuring and nice to see that the work is being done. Such a pretty lighthouse, and seeing some
What can you say when nature offers such beautiful scenery? A must see for seaside views with winds so dress accordingly.
Gorgeous scones and delicious brownie. Warning - no toilets until you get down to the town which had free public toilets by a church. Lovely (and fairly quick) walk to see the lighthouse (from a distance as it's having done work done)
Excellent place to walk and take in the stunning coastal cliffs! Posh tea kiosk with a variety of snacks. We enjoyed our cream tea and shelter from a brief rain shower.
Reasonable price for entry (especially compared to some of the other local sights!) with some great views and a very decent cafe on site.
I love this little corner of Hartland. Always take five minutes with a cuppa , parked uo looking out over the sea.
Remote above the point where prior to 10.00am before opening it doesn't look promising then Wow it opens into a wonderful little Cafe serving really fresh and tasty food. Ironically despite its location on Hartland Point the view from here is unspectacular.
Fantastic walk along the south west costal path.
Awesome location for hikers of the coastal path. Had a good cream tea and a few different cakes/bars for take away :)
