Small pub with a big atmosphere the night my band played there.

Good "village" pub, excellent beer and friendly locals, I will try and return.
Stopped off with my wife today after a walk from Westward Ho! Arrived covered in mud but was welcomed in nonetheless. Chatted with the manager and customers - seems a really lovely place that has an important role in the local community. They do a quiz night, dance night and fish and chips night. Hope they continue to thrive.
P.S. When it looked like our bus wasn't going to show one of the customers offered to drive us to Bideford. A lovely act of kindness.
Stunning little (very old) pub, clean and nicely decorated with a roaring fire too.
On a Friday they do takeaway fish and chips which was delicious. A real country community pub where everyone knows each other and are welcoming to those they don't know. Sometimes they have live music on a Saturday night
Dog friendly, easy disabled access, on site parking.
Five stars for serving the local community and adapting. We stopped here a couple of days ago on the way back from trying to find a place to eat out. They don't do food except Friday, fish and chips night. Well Friday arrived and was well worth the visit. The pub was busy, order a pint while it's cooked to order, take out was well presented with sachets of tomato and tartar sauce, salt and pepper and a segment of lemon.
While we are on holiday, locals were doing the same. The price was reasonable and the quality spot on, but best of all it keeps a traditional pub viable and open.
Stopped off here after a long walk with family, was a great choice to have a drink and snack with a rest. Some locals there on the bank holiday weekend, so lovely happy atmosphere. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming - had some delicious freshly fried chips which were a fab way to end our walk.
Great place, lovely people and excellent beer - what more could you want?!!
